I've booked in Car Park B purely because it says it's closest to the away end. But we will also be going to Nando's. Assuming there is any chicken of course. The one went to after Fulham had no chicken wings.

Wish all that travel a safe journey and a good game. In my earlier days I traveled up and down the country to watch Boro play even mid week matches much to the annoyance of my exwife. I’ll not go into that but really I should have focused more on my young family then spending vast amounts on travel and booze least not quality time with the children.
I think the daftest thing I did was a night match at Portsmouth, left work early, drove down and got back just in time for work the next day. We won 2-1 if I remember right.
Went to Liverpool once and could get in the Boro end so we went in the side which was fine until we scored first. Needless to say the pack of Liverpool supporters were not impressed and we were luckily escorted out and into a densely packed Boro end. I remember it been fenced back then. Liverpool turned it on and we got hammered 4-1.
Cried my eyes out at Wolves but so did thousands of others when they knocked us out the cup 3-1. We were all over them until Terry Cochran was took off.. ironically years latter when he fell out of favour I would often drive Terry to the bongo club in a Volvo owned by Charlie the landlord.

If we’re talking about putting football first (but in a more lighthearted way)

I have a good friend who’s  massive Sunderland fan (but he’s an ok bloke I promise😉) Many years ago he proposed to his girlfriend who promptly went ahead and booked the wedding on FA Cup Final day. The conversation went something like this

GF. Ive booked the church for (whatever date)

Mate. But that’s FA Cup final day

GF. Yeah but it’s not like Sunderland will be in the final

Mate. I agree but let’s not have that difficult choice to make if it does happen

GF: FFS I’ll change the day

 Mate. Yay 😀

(I know I’ve told this story before. But it’s one of my favourites 😁
