I imagine he’ll to be brought in as competition for Howson. If it’s a cheap deal, I don’t see the issue. That would be two players for each midfield spot 👍🏻

A total plodder to give another plodder a bit of competition to see who can be the shittest midfielder at the club.

Lumley?

The one and only time I'll be itk- Lad fell out with Gardner and bowyer after they got him to sign a new deal with the promise of first team opportunity and they never followed through.  Giv

Thing that’s *** me off with this Tav talk is the disrespect from our fans on social media and forums, more so social media but I have seen comments today like ‘ I will drive him there’ in regards to

The next line up will show what he thinks of Payero IMO because none of the CM covered themselves in glory and if there was ever a time for change to try something new, it's now.

I floated the idea of Tav at LWB last night. Came to the conclusion that we’d lose too much from the middle of the park if we did. McGree is key here. If he’s up to scratch, he could prove to be a good option at LWB.

Can McGree play LWB?

I hope to god we ain't playing Mcgree left wing back he was signed to play where Tav does and give competition. Taylor is going to play there.

Taylor has got worse every game for me. Until Bola is back, McGree could be a good shout. He'll provide the energy and potential attacking threat that we don't have out there right now.

We should’ve been all over Ryan Giles from wolves. Neil Taylor been awful the last 2 games

Yeah, it's strange that we didn't try for him with the number of assists he's managed this season in a position we are weak in.

He's going back to Cardiff though.

Is he? I wonder why they bothered recalling him if they're just gonna send him straight back? that seems a weird one!

In case they were forced to play through Covid crisis and injuries, I'd guess.

Any update on Bola ? He adds massively to the team imo, Taylor was really only brought in as a squad player.

He has done OK but Bola would be a huge improvement.

    • It’s going to be a hard transfer window and I think people may be expecting miracles. If we are to go up automatically we need to find an extra 20 or 18 points, a big, big ask. So the question would be, how much is the club willing to invest for a play off. To get up there we need to be out the blocks quickly and remain consistent and I don’t see that happening bedding in new players. The other question is how many quality players do we need and are they available, more likely, possibly not.  Realistically if we do well in the transfer market I’ll settle for the playoffs.
    • 2 goals in 26 games in Turkey demonstrates his goal scoring prowess, if this floats your boat  - fair enough. A resource who costs far more than his worth.
    • happy for Sunderland, about time they got out of the third tier. so, thats another to add to the play off hopefulls next year
    • considering the attitude and quickness to fault pick on posts that dont match thier view that a fair few of the more prolific posters on here, have. thats a bold statement and i admire you for stating your opinion, which in all fairness is quite an accurate assessment.  if we get the Ben Gibson of the AK era ,then im not against resigning him but his form at the first half of this recent season was not a patch on that. add to that his wilderness years at burnley and the fee/wages ,well yep im in with the dont sign crowd. hes got most of the boxes ticked and tbh im not bothered wether hes more suited to a flat back four system, we could and most likely would do a lot worse in our choice.of alternatives.  personally i would take a gamble on ryan porteous from hbs , young(23), agressive, leader, brave and good in the air and with the ball on the ground, i say gamble purely because hes had off field issues and fall outs with management.
    • Have you heard any names of our transfer targets or which players we're most likely to cash in on? The Gazette seem very keen on discussing Darlow and Lenihan so it seems that there's some substance there.
