TLF10 4,440
We will all have a clearer picture by 10am so no need panic. His presser will be dominated by questions about Burnley and he cant complain as he has created this intense situation himself. To carry on treating the questions like he is being asked to relive a past bad experience is getting pathetic on his part.

Duvel 2,446
What are the odds on Wilder doing a Cantona in the press conference on Friday. "When the seagulls follow the trawler"....

ManBearPig 1,833
I’d really like who ever is doing the media on Friday to not let him get out of a non committal answer. It’s time for the press to show some bottle if he gives a vague answer again and if he gets annoyed at them being persistent, he will more than likely be off anyway 🥲
LinoJo3 3,098
Tbh I’d be more bothered about Scott leaving than Wilder. Wilder has done great since he took over but I always have the feeling that this ‘system’ he is obsessed with is very vulnerable to being countered. Then we have to find out if he’s a one trick pony, CAN he actually adapt? Up to now I’m not sure he’s showed that he can. I was kind of uneasy even at the start when all pundits were discussing the ins and outs of his system and why it was successful, like they knew almost every detail. If fans and pundits know it in that much detail then how much must professional scouts, analysts and managers know? Karanka couldn’t adapt and we seemed to struggle any time we came up against the better teams, I feel like wilder could go that way, only we don’t have the benefit of the initial unknown with wilder. I also never liked the idea of relying on specialist wing backs. I feel like good wide players get hindered by having to be a defender aswell and good defenders are generally poor going forward. It’s pretty hard to find good quality specialist wing backs, I was proven wrong but I felt like jones would be wasted as a wing back plus we have never really filled the left sided position and sacrificed Hernandez to go with that system. Who knows it could be a blessing is disguise and allow us to go back for whoever our original choice was who we were prepared to wait out the season to get. boro_fan_in_brum 604
Been out all day, I have openly slated a member on here. If he goes then I’ll apologise, equally if he does go then I’ll be glad. The things he has said about a project and the club fits etc. get lost if he wants to leave.
DevKWat 2,365
As some have said yes he’s a good manager at this level, but he does have his flaws and is not utterly irreplaceable. Important thing is keeping Kieran Scott. Wilder’s been here 6 months and we’ll all soon get over it if he goes, none of us want a manager who is willing to jump after such a short time for such a short sighted and regressive opportunity.

caseybwoy 130
I know this is nothing new but I personally think it’s unforgivable if he leaves. People saying it’s like getting a better job offer I completely disagree. It’s a huge risk and one that I fail to see the attraction in at all. He would be going to a club with tighter purse strings on a downward trajectory with a team which could be plundered. Equally a team that is more of a polar opposite to the way wilder plays than the one he inherited off us. If he goes it goes against absolutely every characteristic I thought he possessed. He’s talked passionately about the project, it being long term, his love and understanding of the area and its people. He hasn’t even had a full season here and our tune completely changed (Karanka championship years feel to it) now I’ve just got a sour taste in my mouth. I feel like i have been pied off a lass I really liked after being promised the world. speaking of parachute payments hasn’t he openly slated them in recent weeks?

It's a better job if they stay up and we don't go up, of course it is. But right now? I would think he's an idiot for making that move. Almost equally so if he goes in the summer and were in the same division as Burnley.
TeaCider24 12,407
As it stands Burnley are out of the relegation zone if they win tomorrow. Hopefully they don't.
