David Clowes is a very humble man and a life long season ticket holder, thankfully the club can not be in better hands.

50 years ago had watched Derby win their first title, how times have changed, but in David we all trust that he will rebuild the club in the right way.

Here's hoping others will take heed of your self inflicted plight.

Clowes doesn't really have much money does he? I reckon Derby will be stuck in League One for a few seasons at least.

Might give their supporters a bit of humility, doubt it though.

Pathetic !  having read some of your comments over the past months, you really need to see a Doctor.

Sir Brian, I am pleased that people like you and MadAmster will still have a team to follow. A few of us here are old enough to remember how close we came to folding due to mismanagement. The remarks you see are generated by the attitudes of other parts of your fanbase that actively boosted Mel's actions and blamed others for his errors. I am glad you did not go the way of Bury and Macclesfield but don't get involved in an argument you won't win. It may get worse before it gets better, but if Sunderland can get back, then eventually you will too. Best of luck (and keep your head down) 🙂

Thank you for your post and yes its so sad that Bury being so close to United and City both clubs could have saved them with a couple of million each to Bury, sadly Sky are killing football with greed, before Sky the old First division used look after the smaller clubs, remember when Brian Clough bought Trevor Francis for 1 million, footballs gone mad we all said, its certainly as today.

Old Codger take care and good fortune next season to you, well after 4 years of hell off down town for a few beers and will they taste so sweet.

Wasn't an attack on you, but we can go there if you like sunshine.

I suggest that you enjoy being a big fish in a small pond for a few seasons though

According to this BBC article he's not too badly off. Dunno how it would compare to someone like Gibson though...

Clowes Developments, of which Clowes is chairman and which was founded by his father Charles almost 60 years ago, reported a pre-tax profit of £22.3m for the 12 months up to March 2021. The turnover in that time was almost £83m and the company's net assets were worth £266m.

At the time, the group said it had a "substantial pipeline of developments over the next 10 to 15 years" and signed two major deals after the accounting period.

It also sold the UK's largest brownfield port, near Inverness, for an undisclosed sum last year.

He can probably at least keep the club on an even keel until they can start looking for other sources of revenue.

Anyway, just wanted to check in and see how you're coping with the news. I'm here for you if you need someone to talk to. 😉

All teams have weird supporters and over 4 years the social media against Derby as been Toxic, the clubs who have shown most support are Bury, Wigan and especially Blackpool, because the Derby fans supported them over Oyston.

Every away game last season Derby sold out their allocation and all they received from the home fans how good they were, obviously with the friction between Morris and Gibson it must have been a toxic atomoshere up at Boro, Brian Clough before leaving Hartlepool to become the manager of Derby he mentioned about the passionate  fan base and the support, and that support will show again with 30,000 for the first home game against Oxford, thankfully we still have a club.

The social media from Derby has been toxic.

Hopefully that will not happen for we all live the dream of promotion, and after last year the young academy players were outstanding and that is the future for all clubs a good academy.

Good luck to Boro on your push for promotion, Chris Wilder is a good man.

Will have a look at Bristol City, OTIB site for one espicially Mr Pop, they have 157 pages on Derby County of mainly hate against Derby, yes social media is good but it does have its very bad side, no excuse for Derby fans who resort to this behaviour, only after 4 years of hell and 9 months of administration wondering if you will have a club, along with the press and most other clubs minority of fans against Derby on social media, and 2 lock downs for covid in this timespan, can understand why some resort to this behaviour, for it as not been a good 4 years to be a fan.
