Sounds like those glasses were worth the money then? yes mate, i feel like i never wasted the money. but the lenses were on a frame you expect to get out of a cracker. proper poor quality. had a feeling they would be bad like that so i bought the sun glasses type. i only wear them in the summer outside now. to buy a set with my prescription lenses etc was 500 odd quid. not paying that much. they dont fix everything anyway. they over do the purple colour. so red and pink things look purple. but they enrich all colour so guess thats how they work. not really a cure. but as someone who thought i was only mildly colour blind. it made me realize how washed out everything was for me compared to everyone with normal vision. my kids and wife said all they do is make colours stand out more. they dont change colours. not for people with normal vision anyway. if anyone on here is quite bad with their colour vision. pm me and come and try mine before buying some yourself. i was a bit shocked and happy seeing all the colours when i first had them on. i still do kind of like wearing them and looking how pretty stuff looks. but i'd imagine someone who is really bad with colours would get quite emotional seeing though them. Humpty 3,260
Errea were very hit and miss first time around. In terms of design. Their quality was, at times, appalling. I’d expect they’ve improved since we last had them. I’m just really disappointed we’re not sticking with Hummel. Best we’ve had in my time following the Boro.
bmt 187
Norwich recent errea kits have been good. At least we will get more bespoke kits than going to Nike or Adidas.
Redcar Rioja 5,974
I think our Errea era saw some of our best and most stylish kits which have yet to be bettered. The fabric quality however wasn't great admittedly but huge advances have been made in sports fabrics since we last had Errea. Keep in mind that Brands like Errea, Umbro, Hummel, Adidas etc. are designers and manufacturers and do not weave or produce their own fabric, they buy it in so there is no reason why Errea cannot source better fabric than they did two decades ago. I'm looking forward to what a little Italian flair can offer us and our white band. Importantly Errea have a relatively short history and their contract with Boro was a massive step forward in their brand development and helping them to become an established sportswear brand. Fittingly, as Teessiders, we provided an opportunity for an underdog to achieve high profile status and they have continued to make great strides since then in contrast to our own fortunes. I think it is a fitting to see them aligned with the Boro once more, more so as we are on the cusp of a return to our former glory that we enjoyed previously with Errea. Take a look at 1994 in their history timeline, 27 years ago! https://en.errea.com/about-us/
smogsterking the Inspirati 2,487
Material wasn't great but some of the kit designs were great in the 90s. Hopefully they have improved their material. Am I misremembering but didn't Gibson have a stake in them in the past. Hopefully we may be able to have a bit of freedom in the design. TLF10 4,492
My 2 favourite boro home kits of all time were made by Errea. First one is the 2005/2006 one. (Our home kit the season we reached the Europa league final) Secondly, the 2008/2009. Unfortunately we got relegated in that one.
