The word around Rockcliffe is that Mowatt is close to signing. He's not been spotted there yet though and he played for West Brom last night, so i'm taking it with a pinch of salt, until he's at least been seen at Rockcliffe

I reckon Mowatt would be a really good signing. He's always looked good when I've seen him in the past. Just doesn't suit Bruce's system clearly.

We operate a starting deeper midfield 3 than say Forest who played an advanced ‘10’ in Zinckernagel. If we played this system I can see the need for a designated creator but as it stands I think the most important improvement is a much improved left side giving us a creative option we lacked last season and better finishers.

I personally don’t think we did the things you say enough last season imo. We were too predictable down that right hand side and I think that’s why we tailed off at the end, teams seemed to stop it. but like you said we have the left hand side now who has looked a lot better than the right and that’s included McGree who has been getting criticised. 
Personally I would love to see a sort of no 10 as part of the 3 like you said, sort of zinkernagal. I know wilder dosnt play that way but I think when you have a 3 in midfield you could definitely get away with one in a lot of games.

Looks like we’re after 2 midfielders tho so will be interesting to see what type of players we bring in. Here’s to hoping that’s it’s something different to what we already have.
