Tell you what though. 

We can't fault our Scouting Network (Grassroots) and our Academy. 

As gutting as it is at times, we are always going to be a stepping stone.

We just have to be thankful that we can produce these excellent, local(ish) footballers who go on to have great careers 👍🏻

Tav has been quality and watching how his career is unfolding will only motivate more lads out of the academy to make the step up.

The Tav price being reported only makes sense if a Bournemouth player is acting as a makeweight. Otherwise this is a pathetic piece of non-negotiation from Boro. Didn't they learn anything from Spurs haggling over Spence?

If this is true and as reported, it's the first red warning flag about this supposed new era of signings and long-term planning. Selling our best player three days before the season starts to a side nailed on for relegation, with no replacement and no depth at all, is the antithesis of planning for success.
