Were we linked?  I know one or two mentioned him as someone we should go for but was there an actual link?  If he signed for Sunderland on loan I doubt he'd have been available to us for £500k?

I think there was an odd link through someone like Nixon or something.

I think we probably have been listening to some of the hype with people tipping us for playoffs.. even listened to a pod that had us down as champions. Second half we were much better but first half we may as well not been on the pitch

I think if he was available for £500k, and we wanted him, then he'd have been here by now.  Assuming we are looking for specific types of players then Simms goes along with Henry, Larsen, Hoppe, that kind of player I guess.  I reckon Simms was somewhere down our list if we were really interested.

I'd rather get a left-footed defender and some midfielders who can move.

No point having strikers if we've got the Chuckle Brothers in midfield. Suppose to be athlete's.
