"A lot of things are going on, also off the field. We didn't do our job on the field. If you come here, you have to give 110%, we did 80%, that's not enough," said Strand Larsen about the hopeless defeat in Amsterdam. Strand Larsen indicated that FC Groningen is not cooperating with a transfer. "There is interest from clubs. Italian clubs among others. I am disappointed how the club is handling this. They are serious offers. Every guy who is 22 years old wants to see what is possible."

It's not that I don't like being here, but I do think about my future," said Strand Larsen. "For now I am disappointed with the club. I deserve to go for such offers. Now that it is so serious I think the club should act better in this situation." Strand Larsen speaks of a 'boy's dream'. "The clubs that are on the table are a childhood dream. Sooner or later you have to make the step. It is important that the club treats me and the situation with respect, that has not happened yet." Wow 🤯 Really putting the pressure on them. You can't say these things and still be putting in 100%. And to also be saying his side only put in 80%. Things could get very fractious

They won't be able to keep him for long with him going public like this can they? Not all season long. The club is surely keeping tabs on the situation and wouldn't doubt if in a week we hear some more rumors.

BelgianBoro 765
So Larsen is complaining about his eredivisie side not giving 100% and we’re trying to persuade him to join a club languishing in 20th in the championship! you couldn’t dream this stuff up 🤣
Jamie-H 1,322
Last summer Celtic signed what I believe was the Eredivisie top scorer from the season before Giakoumakis for £2.5 million. The fact that Groningen have rejected £9 million seems wild given the market precedents, I'm not sure we should increase our bid - his commercial value doesn't justify it. Don't we have the highest bid by quite a bit? Considering that along with already having terms agreed with him wouldn't we be the frontrunners?

TheHolgate 675
Don't underestimate the championship. The promise of the premier league (either through us or a move after us) and a bit of cash.
Tudders80 674
The interesting part there is the amount mentioned. "If an offer of 10million euros is offered you think the club should say yes?" And he agrees. Makes me think this 12 million quid thing is just made up. I think they want 10 million pounds. I'm more confident that we will get him after that interview. And the interviewer seems to think that's his last game too.
