I would hope Wilder runs his eye over him in the Summer before making a decision unless of course Chuba has already made his mind up on Boro. To me he looks much more like a Wilder Striker than a Warnock one.

my thoughts also, arsenal academy so likely he will be more to suited to the Wilder passing game than the Warnock hoof ball.

i take the point, i could see offering something different as a 5th-choice striker. He's 6'4 with pace and dribbling ability. Also i doubt he's on much money and im sure he could offer something different that we desperately needed at times this season.

Unfortunately I seriously doubt if Ameobi will play Football again. The total silence on his absence is deafening and therefore doesn't sound good at all. Hope I'm wrong and it's just a legal wrangle over his medical.

I though he looked like a fish out of water under Warnock.

Same sort of links that get banded around every transfer window, wouldn't pay them much mind.

Gibson maybe, not sure we've been linked to Rhodes/Friend since they left?  As it was Lurker who mentioned Friend, it's not like it's some random twitter thing, and Rhodes came from that journo.

On the note of us going back for former players. George Friend could be returning.

I’m all for bringing back former players provided they are still good enough but Friend’s legs had gone just before he left us, this one would make no sense, I will always love him though. I wished he never left in the first place it would have been great to see him at the club in some capacity just not playing.

Just watched the ‘every goal from Wilders time’ video the club put up. All I can think is how Sporar seemed to be in some kind of form before he brought the loan strikers in. Can’t help but wonder if he should have stuck with rather then drop him straight away

Yeah we don't know yet...Nobody thought Sol Bamba would turn out the way he did, not saying George will do the same but he is a great person to have at the club in some capacity.

If he comes in as player/coach and almost takes that "Woodgate role" under Karanka, that would be ideal as I truly think that in Friend, if we get him in now onto the coaching staff, we have a potential future manager down the line.

Michael Hector is a right footed CB. He could be solid cover for Fry.

I dont think Hector much better than Grant Hall from what I seen. Wilder does not seem to rate Hall but i think he would be decent cover for Fry.
