I think I'd chose Mcnair, not because i dislike him, just that he's the oldest of the 4 and his value will only decrease from here on.

Fair enough.

But if you were to sell one of either Mcnair, Dijksteel, Tav or Jones which one would you sell?

McNair in a heartbeat out of those three. It's not even a close contest.

I love McNair but if we do need to sell one more asset after Spence it would be between him or Fry for me.

Either McNair for £5m/£6m to fund other improvements to the squad. Can't see him starting over Dijksteel.

or Fry because he's the most sellable asset we've got where we already have a good replacement.

People under estimate how difficult it would be to replace Tavernier.

A full season under Wilder with competent strikers and Tavernier hits 15+ goal contributions from Central Midfield.

Anyone seen Leo yet in any of the videos 🤔 🧐

Dont worry I think the club Dare not sack him , I always imagine everytime we change manager and clear out all the previous managers staff they are always like Leo were getting a new goal keeper coach and he is like great I can't wait to meet him and he has that look in his eyea like he does when he's raging at a referee and they decide against letting him go for their own safety and just have 2 gk coaches lol

He's not a gk coach for us now, he's just a standard coach.

Hope we never get rid, love the bloke

We need 2 LCBs

And we are after 3 strikers. Wilder said last season he likes to have a pool of 5 strikers. Its 3 to go with Watmore and Coburn

Rest i agree on.

Anyone watch the video the Boro put out earlier, McGree smashed that bleep test. I reckon we’re gonna be one of the fittest sides in the division this season. Nice to see Frankie Hunter is still here

Frankie Hunter was bombed out of the first team set up under Warnock. Nice to see Wilder brought her straight back. Apparently very well regarded

Yeah I noticed that, doesn’t surprise me at all. Think she worked with the academy when Warnock was here. Allamby has also came back as fitness coach aswell, think we’ll be one of the fittest teams in the league this season

    • Realistically how many new signings do we expect this week. I’m saying just the 1, being Hoppe. Really hope I’m wrong, cause Sheffield united be really tough with the current squad.
    • And when we actually make use of him, too. The thing I noticed after we made the Smith for Forss change is we rarely actually found the lad. From people who were there it didn't sound like he was tightly marked at all times and really, the last big chances we had were from crosses from his side. The Crooks and Akpom strike partnership was surely there for the sake of getting crosses into the box and for some reason we just stopped utilising our biggest threat on that front.
    • There are murmerings that akpom is on 20k plus a week. Maybe wilder was told that he is being let go regardless because that wage is unsustainable but the move hasn't materialised so he's been given the go ahead to use him.
    • no need to panic after one defeat. it was away at a play off pushing team. we went 3-0 down and still were not out of the game. we are a good side. once the team buck up their ideas and the new lads come in i expect lots of W's.
    • The biggest thing from the Akpom side of things is that Wilder is obviously concerned about his fitness levels but also didn't want him as part of the group until the week of the Marseille game. Maybe Akpom also didn't want to be part of the group and wanted a move elsewhere and it hasn't materialised but if Akpom has shown enough in 2 games as an unfit player that he has something to offer Wilder then it begs the question why Wilder didn't want him around before that. Did he not properly assess the qualities he had? I mean, it's still early days and 2 games doesn't change what has otherwise been a poor Boro career so far from Chuba but it's a little concerning if Wilder is willing to push on wanting to do deals without fully understanding the depth of the players contracted to the club. What really matters now of course is if he does now see something of value in him that he doesn't double down and he does welcome him into the group. Things change all the time in football and that's okay. But Akpom's lack of match fitness seemingly lands on the manager's door so with the benefit of hindsight, it looks like a poor decision to have kept him out in the cold for so long. Fingers crossed we don't have any more situations like this and that Chuba goes from strength to strength.
