When Scott came we were all dreaming of him finding a Pukki for us, a player who had seriously underwhelmed in his career before Norwich. Now we are having meltdowns because that is exactly what the C

Fits the bill of being a left footed center back. But it’s another short term solution. We already have Giles, Howson and likely also 2 strikers will come in on short contracts and maybe a keeper. That’s a lot of players on short contracts that will need adressing again next summer. I think ideally we buy that left footed defender and make him a permanent fixture in the side. Probably easier said than done though.

Short termism maybe, but it worked for Forest this year.

Dont think I've seen this posted but seems there's genuine interest in Jones from West Ham, I think his head may be turned by a London club playing in Europe

Need someone asking that ex WHU employee guy on twitter

It would take a monster fee for us to sell him

That writer is so over-enthusiatic, everything's sensational and fantastic.

I'd be absolutely gutted if we sold Jones, but I also can't say I'd blame him for wanting to go if West Ham genuinely came calling.

Who could we realistically replace Jones with

Ethan Laird, Conor Roberts, Yan Valery?

Doubt there's many traditional right backs that could offer the same output as Jones, would probably have to look at wingers who could be converted

Wouldn’t mind if Simpson from Ipswich as back up good physical striker with a good touch and would be on way cheaper wages than mcgouldrick

I understand he’s had talks with Boro. He wants to play first team football though so maybe Boro get him with a view of sending him straight on loan if he isn’t ready for first team football at Boro or it allows coburn to go on loan maybe, time will tell, that’s if we get him.

Not sure at all on Mcgoldrick, he'll be 35 in a few months and how effective can he be off the bench when we need a goal?

For me he's a hard worker who holds the ball up for others but Wilder last worked him when he was 32/33 I think it's a risk trusting a 35 year old's body to contribute in a promotion race.
