I just don't agree that it's a myth that he doesn't do it in the premier league. He might next season, but he's been below average or not in the team more often in the prem than he's been effective, I can't see how that's arguable.

Don't think his temperament helps him. Not sure if he takes his foot off the gas if he's playing in the prem week in week out or not. Think he'd be better in a better team than the ones he's been in though

When Scott came we were all dreaming of him finding a Pukki for us, a player who had seriously underwhelmed in his career before Norwich. Now we are having meltdowns because that is exactly what the C

He wasnt able to get into the team after his injury (out for 41 days, not a really long injury) and his suspensions were part of the problem. He didn't make it back into the side after them either.

That saw him miss 9 matches, he then missed the next one because it was deadline day and he was joining Fulham.

He was only in the squad for 10 games that season, and always started on the bench.

You could rightly argue he wasn't doing it in training and it was justified not to include him, but he played 152 minutes of football.

I would not count that as evidence that he can't play in the Premier League.

He definitely lost his head a lot more when he was younger, but that seems to have calmed down in recent seasons, I'm expecting him to handily reach double figures this season, whether Fulham stay up or not.

Fulham will struggle next season again which won't help either.

He's probably a striker who is too good for the Championship but not quite good enough for the top flight.

You could say that about most players. Put them in better teams and they will likely perform better. Nitro if struggles against good defenders. It’s not really that hard to see. A top tier defender won’t let mitrovic bully him and will be one step ahead. He won’t get more than 8 goals next season.

Aye and the existence of such a striker goes to show just how big a gap there is between the two divisions.

Think to be fair, even just in the two games he played against us, he looked relatively ordinary, didn't he?

The goal he got at the Riverside, bias will play its part perhaps. Fulham will say it's well worked and we will naturally look at how we can avoid it but I thought it was just bad defending.

Last time mitrovic was in the prem, he couldn't get in the team. He only started 13 games and he was available pretty much the whole time. He had one decent season with Fulham a few years ago and every other season he spent in the premier league, he has absolutely not performed. It's not a myth

Fulham supporting friends say he wasn't given a fair shot in this season and Parker preferred playing Ivan Cavaleiro up front instead, both were pretty annoyed he wasn't given a proper shot.

Been having a daft read on the cov forum and Jesus wept I thought some of our posters were deluded with their valuations of Spence.

Some of them reckon they should be asking for 15-25m for Gyokeres. He seems like a 5-10m player to me.

Only reason we’ll get anywhere close to 15m for Spence is the fact he’s English, has had a couple of standout performances on the telly in the FA Cup, and there’s interest from several big clubs.
