If Bale were to sign for Cardiff or Swansea, how much more likely would they be to finish above us in your opinion? It depends how many games he plays. He’s a sick note. Bale is a superb player and his interviews suggest he's wanting to make a move to play. That being said, he must have acknowledged that he's not exactly 100% fit. Still, he would possibly be the best player to grace the Championship I can ever think of. And imagine if that gets signed off and you're looking at who to play for, Cardiff or someone else. He is gonna have real pull for players looking for a promotion chance. One player doesn't win a league or gain promotion. We've seen some quality attacking players at this level do the business almost every week but their teams not doing the same. Jarrod Bowen comes to mind. I think it puts them in the picture though if he goes there, I just think he's that good that he's gonna score goals from everywhere and that kind of game changer even in 50% of your games could really catapult them into the promotion picture. And previously, I wouldn't think Cardiff would have a chance of promotion under Steve Morison.

They've both finished above us in two of the last three seasons, so it's far from impossible. We did have Woodgate and a misfiring Warnock for those seasons though.
chickenlunch 315
one problem Bale would face is being on a different wavelength to the players around him probably

GrimsbyBoro 1,968
Henderson in a World Cup year seems a really long shot. Only way I see it happening is if on deadline day there are no other options.
Foogle 2,104
Is Choudhury injury prone? He hasn't seemed to have played much football and I seem to recall a bad injury. I think he'd be very good at this level from what I have seen of him.

It reminds me (a bit) of when Craig Bellamy signed in loan for Cardiff. It was a big deal at the time and he almost inspired them to promotion. Until we scuppered them with a 3-0 away win.

Not really sure, I can remember him coming under a bit of criticism for some over the top challenges (probably not what we need with Crooks already in the team) then don’t know if he missed a few suspended or injured or just fell out of favour. But they have Tielemans and Ndidi so he’s not going to start ahead of those.
