TLF10 4,496 Posted July 1, 2022 Share Posted July 1, 2022 Anybody who suggested Jack Clarke as a option for the LWB option for Wilder team needs to do 2 things: a,) Watch Jack Clarke more closely so they realise he is RIGHT FOOTED. b.) Listen to Wilder more carefully as all he has banged on about since being here is having balance in the team. Normally 'a' is used before a consonant but as the 'l' is being used as an initial pronounced 'ell' you may be correct in using 'an'. I suppose it depnds if it is read as it is written (ell, sea, bee) or as its fuller form (left centre back). The former would be 'an', the latter 'a'. Personally I read it as Left Centre Back so 'an' seemed wrong. I'm not sure if LCB is common enough yet to be automatically read as an acronym in the same way that LBW, LP or LGBTQ are. 2 Link to post Share on other sites
