Dwight Gayle deal collapsed as we have made surprise progress on 2 strikers and we pulled the plug.( both played uk last year ). Spence deal preventing finalising them both.  Could be another big exit

Chuba should be gone in next few days.... Maybe we are waiting to shift spence and some strikers before making our moves? Pushing hard in negotiations for Armstrong. Southampton want a replacemen

We’re close to signing Gayle, it’s almost done.

If we get a single penny for Fumbly I'll show my *** in Binns window

He will be sold to a prem side for like a few hundred grand to be their 3rd choice keeper like what happened to Marcus Betternali

Goalkeepers signed by Boro since promotion - Valdes, Guzan, Randolph, Lonergan, Mejias, Stojanovic, Bettinelli, Archer, Lumley, Daniels.  Only one has managed more than 50 games for us.  Some were signed as back ups of course but still not great is it.  You've pretty much got Dimi and Randolph as the only two signings to make a real mark in a decade.

It would probably help if we stopped signing keepers that were dropped by previous clubs for being ***.

In Meijas' case, we already knew he was *** when we weirdly signed him again.

Must have been attitude over ability.

Aye, need to get it right this summer, we've had enough goes at it now.

I've got a feeling that we are going to see "attitude over ability" rehashed many times on here next season if some of the incoming don't perform as hoped or worse still perform as many predicted before they even kick a ball.

Assuming that the list is correct and that we move all of them on, I had a look at who's left from our first time. It's not pretty reading. U23s who play/travel with the 1st team in []

Keepers. [Brynn]

Defenders: Dijksteel, Fry, McNair

Wingbacks: Jones

Midfielders: Crooks, Howson, McGree, Tav, [Boyd-Munce], [Olusanya?]

Forwards: Watmore, [Coburn]

Goalkeepers have certainly been a problem this (and recently most) year(s), but to be fair, Lumley and Daniels were both free transfers and so to be fair anything we can get for them adds to our budget for the team as a whole.
