Boro v Sheff Utd 2-2 (Akpom (2) )

Recommended Posts

What a big game in it's own right.

There's always been a bit of rivalry between us and Sheff Utd, and I think the scenes when we beat them with a late winner at home in 2017 only fanned those flames. Personally I was serving my time as a Senior Steward in the away end at that time and it definitely got hairy up until and when then bust through the fence into Car Park E.

Contrarily I was glad to see them do well in the PL under Wilder though, it was good to see a team come up and put a good shift in and compete well against the big boys.

I think we really need to be turning them over tomorrow though, to kick-start our season as CT says. I fancy us to do it aswell, 2-1 I'm saying. Mowatt to come straight in hopefully as a replacement for Howson and really marshall the midfield. Personally I would throw Hoppe straight in with Forss up front, but I don't think that will happen. We'll see.

I reckon it will be a good game anyway, I'm hopeful that we'll really start to show and prove what we want to be about this season tomorrow.

Enjoy 👍🏻🚩

Cannot fault Akpom this season, he could have taken his poor treatment to heart and phoned it in, but his attitude has been spot on.

Must have watched a different game to some on here. That was a good performance overall against one of the toughest opponents we will face this year. Lots of fight and belief.    They had ve

I'd be surprised if Mowatt goes straight into the starting lineup so soon, but maybe. I imagine he'll come off the bench though if not.
