Buying a new car

I have recently been looking for a new car for my partner and stumbled across something that has helped us massively so thought I'd share it.  

We were looking for a new Renault Clio hybrid for her.  Throughout Renault for the spec we wanted the PCP payment was £327 for 48 months with a 1,000 deposit.  We didn't want to pay more than £300 and we'd have had to put in £500 for the deposit which we weren't all that keen to do.  

I entered the details into Carwow (usually put off by the fact you have to put your email address in and phone number etc before they give you prices.  Anyway I did this.  Then almost instantly received an offer from the garage that offered us £327 a month and it was £288.  Thought there was something a miss - went back into the garage and they said they offer different prices through carwow and it allows them to offer extra discounts.  We were also offered £278 from a garage in Birmingham.  Showed that to Darlington - they said unfortunately they couldn't match the price but they would give us the exterior and interior paint upholstery protection, rubber mats and a full tank of fuel.

So long story short - instead of £327 a month we are saving £39 (1872 in total) a month over 48 months with the extras.  I'd definitely recommend the 5 minutes it took on carwow to do it.

Whenever I see the car prices in England I start to cry. Your prices are so low compared to Denmark. Taxes on cars are so high here it's a pain when you have to get a new one.
