That’s a good thing though? I’d hate to think we are 2-0 down and actually trying.

Totally honest I don’t care about results 😂. The team is a mixture of 3 or 4 older heads and youngsters. These friendlies are more for the lower clubs to get good financial support of our club

Remember a near full strength boro side getting battered by Darlington under Mowbray and us going on to have a good season.

If we were really arsed about the result doubt we'd be splitting the squad across 2 games in 24 hours.

Us just now, mate. 2-0 down to Hartlepool at half time in a friendly, the EFL have decided to just call it quits for us this season. Don't blame them to be honest, Rick Parry is a man of real integrity, he knows what's right to do.

Seeing one or two U21s emerge in the first team over the season is not the same thing as playing half your u21s all at the same time KM.

Aye, split teams like this is more about fitness than things like patterns of play.  Feels like the balance of the split is a bit off though.  Tomorrow's team would be say Dieng, Smith, New lad, Lenihan, left back, Barlaser, Howson then some combination of Jones, Gilbert, Morgan, Silvera.  Probably missed someone out but something like that?  Seems stronger overall to me?
