Boro v Millwall 0-1

Recommended Posts

Smart money is probably on a score draw you'd think? 1-1, 2-2.  Millwall are tricky opponents, and it's hard to tell quite where we are just yet.  Not sitting on the fence but could see a win for either side as well.  Looking forward it though, I hope we're still capable of playing some of the football we saw last season.

Anyway that's me offski for a while.  I only came back to post towards the end of the season, and I told myself that I'd stick around only until the season began, and now that we're here it's time to disappear again for a bit.  Take care everyone, and hopefully I'll catch you all later with us having another good season 🙌

Start of the season has come around pretty quick. Looking forward to it, but it's going to be chucking it down all day by the looks.

Haven't followed how Millwall have got on in the transfer window, but looking at their MDT, it's a mixed bag of some confidence and some thinking they'll lose https://millwallonline.com/forum/threads/boro-v-wall-match-thread.54000/

One of them pointed out they haven't won at the Riverside since 2014 (haven't checked that), but as others have said we don't win our opening games. Think defence is a weak part of both teams, So I'll go 2-2

Rain coat and walking boots it is 😂

At least you only need to be out the house a few hours, I foolishly bought tickets to the James gig at Darlington before the season was announced. Of course, it's an all day event in an open air stadium

I’ll be cheering on today from a blistering hot Gran Canaria ☀️

2-1 boro. Im going to go optimistic that Rogers and Silvera will score today.

Even if we don’t win, im interested to see how we play without Akpom and just how crucial his absence might be from that attacking flow we had from last season.

Bold predictions - Coulson has a great game at LB, Hackney and Barlasser flourish in midfield and Jones returns to form when he replaces Forss from the bench to set up the winning goal.

Looking forward to the game, Millwall will be well drilled, tough to breakdown, physical as ever and spoiling. The new referee rules on time wasting and kicking the ball away might see a few yellows and the odd red during the season if the strong application shown last night is evenly applied. I think this game has 1-0 written all over it, but which way? Up The Boro 🤞

Zian Flemming looks a good player for them. If Chuba were to go, I'd hope we were looking at him as a replacement.

He does look like a good player, but they've already rejected multiple bids from Burnley this summer, so I doubt we can afford him and he'd probably pick the Premier League anyway.
