This just isn't true. I was talking about how poor he was throughout Coventry and Millwall. The fact he's skied 3 sitters in the last 2 games is just the cherry on top. He's not good enough at this level right now, there's a lot of work to do before he's a starter

Millwall he came on as a sub in the 70th minute and looked bright, so I'm not sure how you could really be judging such a small cameo.

Coventry game he was wasteful in front of goal but was one of our few bright sparks going forward, and was one of the few players trying to get us up the pitch.

I thought against Huddersfield he was nowhere near as bad as people are making him out to be, he didn't have a great game and was very wasteful with chances, but he still had that ball carrying ability and he is without a doubt a threat. I don't think he should be starting every game but I don't think he's as far off as you're making him out to be. His main weakness seems to be his ball striking ability, just seems to absolutely put his foot through every shot expecting to score a screamer. I think once he's coached into placing his shots better we'll see more goals from him.

I actually thought he had a good game on Saturday, outside of the miss. 🤷‍♂️

Agree, 12 months ago Wilder told him to find himself a new club, a section of our fans wanted to drive him to a club that shows interest in him, then bang, the only time in his career he bangs goals in left, right & centre, great memories for Chuba, the club & us fans, think we have done well to get £12m for him, there was initial talk of £8/9m from Sheff Utd, thinking that figure would maybe go up by another couple of million, I never expected anywhere near to the £15m the club quoted for him

TBH, think people are looking at Warnocks comments from his time here in this, I dont see a problem in what he said

The problem is that it's belittling Akpom to try and preserve his own reputation.  Akpom did well for someone else therefore it must be a miracle because Warnock couldn't get that out of him, and as we all know, Warnock is the best manager ever.

We didn't do well to get £12m for him.  If someone scores 28 goals at this level they will always garner interest, that's just how football works.  Whether he can repeat it, or even just something like it, we have no idea of course.

Sorry I meant Coventry and Huddersfield.

And I just can't agree, his finishing isn't even the most concerning thing for him. It's his inability to see what's around him, he just puts the head down and runs every time. Looking at dispossession per game, he's got a massive 3.3, the next closest is 2.3. He's also got 4 unsuccessful touches per game - the next lowest after that number is coulsons 2.5. His successful pass percentage is also relatively low to the rest of the squad.

I only just looked up those stats, I was going totally off the eye test but it doesn't surprise me that he is so far down on those stats. He needs to take care of the ball better or he's never going to make it in this team. I think he's been easily the worst of our forward options so far this season in the league, and that's including crooks.
