Now the transfer window is shut I am hyped for the season to start today!

Anyone else finding it hard to get excited and up for games this season? It was the same even for the first game. I’m just so ‘meh’ about it all. First time I’ve felt this way in over a decade of going.

I'm a bit more up for it now that the window has closed but the last couple of games were fairly tough going. Though its nowhere near the lows of pulis and warnock. They actually made me fall out of love with football. The only time I haven't purchases the video pass is under warnock because I couldn't even bring myself to spend 2 hours on the sofa on a Saturday watching us

I've still got a lingering case of early-season optimism.

We've had a poor start, no doubt, but I'm still hopeful the new additions will prove to be the missing pieces of the jigsaw. I'm also keeping my expectations fairly low for this season. Not expecting a serious promotion push, but if we get a late season run going, it at least bodes well for next season.

I guess I'm just really desperate for Carrick to prove his credentials as a manager. I don't expect a repeat of last season, but as long as there are genuine signs of progress (a subjective matter, I know) I'll be satisfied.
