I think as fans we are either over critical or over enthusiastic about performances though. It's coming from an emotional place. Whereas the stats and the neutral (not that I've asked more than one neutral, but still he's all I've got to go by) say we've been unlucky.

we haven't been unlucky. you dont miss sitters every game by being unlucky. we miss them because or attacking players are not up to standard. they cant score and they are also very poor at retaining possession. silviera plays like a 14 yo winger in a school team. just does his own thing. hes out of his depth. same as rogers. they might come good at some point but leaving in the team after this game will harm them even more.

No matter how many times you say it, no one believes that Giles and Akpom wanted to come here over a prem move and Ajax

Statistics are not emotional and they also agree we should be higher in the table....

But not gonna start that again, upset so many emotional people last season....

Football is all about emotion!

As fans, if you take the emotion out of it, What are you left with?

Stats on a piece of paper that nobody cares about? If you want to follow the xG Table, good for you.

I don't think the majority of fans are overcritical or over emotional.

The facts are we are rock bottom with one point, we look leaky at the back and aren't clinical going forward.

Maybe we shouldn't have expected a repeat of last seasons playoff push but i think its fair to expect more than whats been served up so far.

Take any work place where people work in teams .. Take out 4 of the most important workers and replace them with less experienced, yet promising, workers ..

Would you think they would just be doing just as good as before, or do they need a little time to find the right way to work as a team?

Since the arrival of the iPad, some people don't have any patience, cause they can just swipe to the next thing, if something doesn't catch their interest within 7 seconds ..

That don't apply in the real world ... and especially not when we deal with people that have to find new ways to work with new people ...

Having good xG stats is no guarantee of winning games anyway, as we've found out before.

Also completely agree that if you take the emotion out of it, you pretty much take away the reason for following a football club (or any sports team, for that matter).

Just as long as it doesn't descend into name-calling, abuse etc. But I think we generally manage that pretty well...

From a fans stance maybe, but you cant run a business or make tough decisions based on emotions....

Also why I realy dont say much about our football during or right after matches... 😀

No but in the long run it will make you win more. I said so even last season, in the end we finished 4th as our xG implied all along 😉

Ah the old “he’s not a Boro fan” mantra. Well done. Really lifts the quality of debate.Proved right? Are we not bottom? Have we only scored one goal? Have we conceded the second highest number of goals?

Help me out - are these facts right? And not a Boro fan? Argue out such points when back to school.

It's the relentless negativity that leads to it.  You only post about issues with the team, only post when we lose games or have a poor performance.

No posts months on end when we are decent and climbing up the table and winning regularly. Then pop back up when we lose to criticise.

You are back on the "Scott should resign" stuff, you were spouting similar negativity about him when Carrick was appointed.

Yet nothing between then and now about the actual successes of last season - Carrick's appointment, the climb to the playoffs, the loan players Scott brought in.  Plenty of positives. Nothing but negativity.

So nothing like my past comments about Izzy Jones then?

Full of praise so far this season...........................just for you😉
