Positives... looks likes putting O'Brian in his proper position and at the expense of Howson. Mcgree finally starting.

Negatives.... Somehow Crooks and Silvera get starts again. Would be less baffling if we didn't have 1 billion options for those positions but seem to be stuck playing the two worst/most out of form options.

Another black mark against Carrick overall although we are playing the worst team in the league so we should still have enough.

A black mark against Carrick? We haven't even bloody played yet. Jesus wept.

  • Regardless of the result, today is a MASSIVE win for me..... A year ago this week I was rushed into hospital having panic attacks.... For a long period anxiety and panic attacks has stopped me

  • Please for the love of god, losing Giles, akpom, archer etc doesn’t mean we’re the worst team in the league!!!! Dieng, Fry, Lenihan, Hackney, O’Brien, Jones, VDB, Forrs, McGree are all capable pl

He's not a League One player, come on now.  He might not be the best bet to play behind your striker but the lad has 18 goals and 8 assists in 2 seasons and 7 games.  He can quite clearly play at this

He's gone from a genius and indispensable a dozen games or so ago, to completely clueless.....

Some fans need to give their head a shake.

The team is significantly different vs last season. It's embarrasing reading some of these comments.

Crooks is no Akpom but I suppose he scores which is more than the rest can do so in Carricks hour of need I can see his rationale. I don’t agree with it but under the circumstances desperation seems to be coming to the fore.

There again it might be 442 🤣

This season that doesn't mean that he isn't injured though 🙃

I wouldn't be able to tell if he is fit or playing with two broken ancles from his last few performances

Have you watched us recently? If Carrick is still thinking Silvera and Crooks are the answer then he's mental. So yea, a black mark.

Indeed, the reality lands somewhere in the middle but we so often speak in extremes that when it's going well, it's the best and when it's going bad, it's the worst.

A depressing title and then they're having to give an encouraging speech bubble to Boro fans instead of showing the face of our players.

It's significantly different vs last month never mind last season.

You pick the hill to die on, mate, I'm gonna watch the game and see how it plays out personally. But at least you can figure out what else to do instead tonight because this one's already done and dusted in your head.

On a completely unrelated matter I have just noted that this is my 2000th contribution to One Boro!!  DS do I get a medal or should I just book myself into therapy.

I think tonight we'll see what Engel is about offensively. Im assuming Mcgree will be on the left of the 3, so the little triangle we operated with last season with Giles pushing up and Mcgree inside with the midfielder, Obrien tonight, causing the overload.

He should be the primary outlet on the left, I'm surprised he hasn't went with Jones tonight if im honest but Silvera has shown he can get on the outside of people and put a decent cross in, Crooks and Coburn have the height and presence atleast.

I'm hoping the balance of the team is better tonight with left footed players on their strong side and vice versa, make's a massive difference tackling from your strong side. I am expecting us to win and I think Coburn will take a chance should he get one.

I don't blame people for being apprehensive given how those two players, and the team in general, have performed.

Eyebrows were raised at elements of last week's line up and were proved right.

Id love it if Crooks and Silvera have blinders and everything clicks tonight but that's definitely more in hope than expectation.

Nobody has mentioned that Ashley Fletcher is starting for them yet. 😂

Doooooom.
