Fry apparently dropped otherwise that’s what I’d have gone for aswell. Lath over Forrs tho.

This feels almost like it could be a fake leak to flush out who's leaking.

Could be 3 at the back with O'Brien as a wingback but more likely to be replicating the experiment of McGree as a left back. If so, I hope they have sacked the scout who recommended Engel.

This is reminding me of the ludicrous line-up that Woodgate picked for his last match in charge when he tried to be too clever. Assuming that Silvera is still in, there's pace on the right but O'Brien, Hackney and McGree will just be running into each other for the whole match.

Let's hope it's a false flag because if that is the line-up and we lose then Carrick is out in the morning. Of course, if it's the line up and it wins then Carrick will be acclaimed a genius. I guess it will have the merit of confusing Southampton for 20 minutes before they score.

I assume the missing players are just those that played the other evening.  Howson and Jones come into the starting line up, everyone else started against Sheff Wed.  Jones plays right back like he did the other night, VDB moves inside to replace Fry, Howson takes over from O'Brien in midfield, O'Brien takes over from Engel at left back.

Digger's identity is already known mate.  He's done a podcast thingy that's been on youtube.  He isn't Phil Stamp.

So that would mean one of Silvera or McGree dropped as well then in that case.

I suppose it could be a fake leak but the team isn't that odd.  O'Brien moved to left back at Blackburn.  Jones coming in makes sense after midweek.  Howson comes in because O'Brien has been moved.  McNair is an experienced central defender.

I've got to be honest even a win wouldn't see me proclaiming Carrick a genius.  Eighth different line up in eight games.  This is just desperation now unfortunately.

Maybe but by now I think we've seen enough changes to just expect them until we stumble into a win.

Completely lost the plot if that’s the team. Very much feels like the end of the Woodgate reign.

Bit of a surprise to see Fry dropped if that's true, though I'm sure he'll have his reasons.
