He hasn't changed formation once since being here, so I'd expect it to still be 4231 as always. With mcnair as rb, vdb and lenihan, obrian as lb.

Jones on the right wing with Hackney howson in the middle, with more than likely sammi can't put a foot wrong silvera on the left, with Crooksinho in the 10, and coburn up top.

Yeah as you and a few others have said, chopping and change your team every game gives the impression that you're a manager who is lost and hoping to stumble onto something that works.

We've seen it before from managers who are on their last legs. 

We why you go to the effort of getting Obrien in on loan to play him at left wing? Unless Engel and Bangura are both injured that’s the only explanation (Engel not up to speed yet)

FWIW I think Crooks in CM is decent. Just like he was under Wilder. He is more than good for there. 

Weirdly I can see the duo of Forss and Coburn working with Coburn backing in and allowing Forss to play in and around him. 

I’m also excited to see Jones down the right.

It feels one of those line ups where it could be your last game in charge doesn't it? I'm now taking Boro out of my accumulators and swapping it round to Southhampton win!

Ffs, didn't Wilder do the exact same? Seem to remember him dropping Giles and Jones then got sacked. 

Carrick is either totally lost and hoping something randomly works, or it's fingers up the board and he's happy to leave. 

Tbh I'd sack him before the game starts if he picks Silvera as he's clearly taking the p*ss.

Coburn 2nd half did well on Tuesday night but we literally have to change our entire philosophy with him starting. We must start Latte lath but apparently not!

I agree with silvera to an extent.... he reminds me of carayol ....  He's obviously very poor atm but I appreciate the effort and how direct he is but my oh my his end product is shocking at the moment.... He's one that I'm willing to give bit more time but can completely understand the fans frustrations but the last thing we want to do is kill his confidence where he then starts taking the easy option all the time

Swap Crooks for McGree and I don't hate that line up. He's taken out the worst performers in Silvera and Engel - and he can see Lath missing big chances was absolutely killing us so I get trying Coburn. He's starting Jones who was the brightest spark last game.

I don't think he's given up. That lineup is more indicative of a manager who knows we're crap and is desperately hoping changing personel will fix it. He thinks the system is fine and the players aren't delivering, and is obviously willing to die on that hill.

Compare it to Wilder's final team... Which was basically a f*ck you to the board and fans.
