Anyone getting it this year?

Beta just dropped this afternoon

Will be picking it up when it gets added to Gamepass. Like the addition of being able to continue your previous saves, and the new mode where you can restart the summer from scratch without the transfers the club made

Might be my first year in a long time not playing. 15 years or so maybe. No real inclination right now, and have been playing less and less each year. 

Been a while since I bought one, but I'll be getting it this year. Can't wait for the unity update next year either, would be great if they pull it off

Not me, I bought it today 🙌

Boro's best players are apparently O'Brien, Fry, Greenwood, Lenihan, McNair, McGree, Howson.  They are all three and a half stars.

Our highest value players are Greenwood, VDB, then Hackney.

Highest paid players are McNair and Howson on 25k per week, closely followed by Lenihan on £24k.

Wage bill is just over £28m per season as it stands.

McGree looks like he's a better player in this version than previous ones.  Silvera has been shafted by whoever does the ratings in my opinion.  I know he's had an up and down start but his stats are too low for me.  Mental stats are all mostly low but even things like pace aren't that high, he's apparently just slightly quicker than Engel?

Best prospect in the U21's is Finch.  Best in the U18's are Fin Cartwright and Law McCabe.  Both look like decent players potentially but will need to get the coaching right with them I reckon.

It's very realistic so far, everyone is injured 🙃

 

I was worried that with the big changes coming in '25, that '24 might just be phoned in a bit but it really doesn't seem like that's the case. I haven't got it yet, but everything I'm hearing is it's genuinely improved again

It looks like they've added a few things.  Transfers can be done differently now.  There's a new way of doing set pieces.  Match graphics look a bit better.  Match engine feels different to me even with little things like you can get deflections now.  I didn't play much of the previous ones really but this one does feel a little different to the last couple.

Oh yeah and there are different ways of playing from the start.  So when you being a career game there are three options - Original which is what you'd know as the usual way of playing, then there is Real World where the players will transfer between clubs on the actual game dates they did in real life so Boro won't start with Latte Lath for example, he will join later in pre-season, and finally there is Your World which basically removes all transfers that look place after the beginning of the season.  I don't quite know what date they are using with this however.  Boro have Silvera somehow but we have no other summer signings that I can see.  I can't remember Silvera being before everyone else but I might be wrong there.  We still have Bola, Payero, Akpom as you'd expect.  All the players who moved to Saudi are still with there English clubs, Brighton don't have McAllister but they do have Caceido, so it's a bit of a mixed bag.  I just can't work out the Silvera thing.  I suppose that version is good if you would like to re-do the summer transfer window.

Uninstalled it after the first practice game due to it being completely unrealistic! Paddy McNair scored directly from a free kick and Darrah Lenihan scored 2 headers from corners......I cant be expected to take the games seriously after that 🤣

So decided with the addition of rolling saves coming in this year I would start a journeyman save while attempting the ultimate challenge off the SI Forum which involves starting unemployed with no badges or experience and attempting to win all 5 champions leagues, all 5 international federation trophies, world cup, club world cup, and a number of other trophies.

 

Currently managing the Black Leopards in the South African Championship in the first season, gonna be a long ride I think

You must have a decent machine to be able to handle so many leagues loaded at once!

Ah I've not loaded everything haha, figured the worst 2 confederacies are Asia and S. Africa so just got those leagues loaded up for now (and England to see how Boro do). 

Once I leave Africa I will remove that and depending where in Asia I end up I'll remove the weaker leagues. When I get close to completing Asia I'll load up North American leagues... etc etc

I actually do usually load all leagues when I do my journeyman saves. 

Later in your career it can really start taking a while to do anything 😂

This is the only CM game I will ever need (I still play this regularly, wheras the last FM game I actually played was FM2006)
