So following promotion in my first season, seems like my chairman has taken a rather interesting decision in regards to ticket pricing:

Unsurprisingly, we've sold around 2.5k season tickets already, which is roughly 10x the amount of supporters we got through the gates each game last year!

It looks like they've added a few things.  Transfers can be done differently now.  There's a new way of doing set pieces.  Match graphics look a bit better.  Match engine feels different to me even wi

Not me, I bought it today 🙌 Boro's best players are apparently O'Brien, Fry, Greenwood, Lenihan, McNair, McGree, Howson.  They are all three and a half stars. Our highest value players are G

Anyone got any good/interesting teams to manage on this?  I don't fancy another Boro game so I was looking for something different to try.

I play as AFC Telford every year, try to in the PL/CL with them

Not saying play as them but starting from the bottom and working your way up has always been the most fun for me

Is this relatively easy? Like Championship Manager 01/02?

I mean - FM can be as easy or hard as you want it to be really mate, depends how "into it" you really want to get.

it's usually not difficult to just plug & play the annual broken tactic, for example.

When I'm struggling for something new to try I usually do a fallen giants save. Could try someone like Sampdoria this year - Relegated last year, on the brink of bankruptcy, had to build a whole new squad after relegation, start with a small points deduction... there was a good article about it on BBC sport the other week:

Whats great about Sampdoria is you could do the setting where summer transfers haven't been set in stone yet, get to shape the full squad in your image.

Kinda talking myself into this one now haha

I've been playing in Japan (Kamatamare Sanuki) this year. Definitely a lot of fun starting in J3 and working up. There's a 4 foreigner limit in J3 and J2 which adds to the challenge

Thanks for the feedback.  I don't know if I have the patience to go from the National League North/South but I do want to try it someday.  I did look around to see what clubs with a bit of history were struggling a bit and saw Sampdoria, as well as Deportivo La Coruna in Spain.  Japan is an interesting one, never even thought about managing there or in Asia in general.

First time I've seen them, what else do they do?

They're both stand ups at a comedy club in Liverpool but they have a podcast together (that the clip is from) called Hot Water Green Room which often has me in stitches
