No. Managed to see their first goal but stream kept dropping so gave up on it and went to bed. Nice to wake up and see the win.

Ha ha I don't think I could have gone to bed knowing that Boro were playing would have had to follow the forum until full time!

I don't want to be mean to the lad, but Glover looks like an outfield player put in goal due to injuries. Whatever attributes he has, they've  been misplaced amid a collapse in confidence. Hope he gets it back, because I'm sure he's better than tonight's performance suggested.

What did you think he did wrong last night from a goalkeeping side of things? I didnt think he had much chance with either goal and wasnt threatened otherwise

No, I agree he wasn't getting to either goal - I said as much at the time. It was his general aura - punching rather than catching, questionable positioning, shaky touches. I saw no evidence of him commanding his box, communicating with defenders or acting confidently. I don't expect him to be another Steffen/Dieng sweeper-keeper, but there was no incisive movement or dynamic passing that I can recall.

Towards the end of the game, he received a sideways pass, and damn near sidefooted it into the goal. I haven't seen a replay, but the commentator's voice went up two octaves and so did mine!

Boro, Arsenal and Exeter? Something to play for in every league, I suppose. 😇

@Denzel Zanzibar - the footballing swinger / polygamist. 😁

Anyway, back on topic, good to see Boro negotiated a potential banana skin of a tie. Reading the BBC match report it sounded like Exeter made us really work for the win (not that surprising, given they knocked out Luton previously). Nice to see Silvera, Rogers and ELL on the scoresheet (and "Banger" with 2 assists).

Survived a South-West "Halloween Scare", scored with a few tricks and earned a treat of a QF tie...TBA... 🙃

More game time under everyone's belts, hopefully a bit of a morale booster after the Stoke game. Onwards and upwards...
