Kieran Scott's priorities appear to be cover for Darragh Lenihan and a striker, albeit one that doesn't hold back Josh Coburn.

It doesn’t sound clear exactly what Scott means when he says we won’t bring in anyone to stand in the way of Coburn’s development. It appears obvious to me that a striker is a priority for Scott. Maybe no young loanees or players of a similar ilk to Coburn?

Would make a good right back a priority and move RVB in as competition for central defence. Unles of course Carrick really likes RVB as a right back.

feel like it would be good to get someone in to get the cover back we had previously, maybe someone like RVB who can play in the middle as well

worrying for latte lath though, big money signing and barely getting enough minutes. now we are talking of signing another striker. i wonder if they are looking for chuba mark 2. the false 9 to play instead of crooks. but that would hinder rogers development ?

can only mean we are looking to improve on what we have, so we recognize we need to be more clinical in them attacking area's. needing someone better than we have to play with josh?

must be loads of CB's we could get in to bench warm incase of further injuries. clarke cant be to far away now hes been on the bench for a month.

the fact we are talking about strengthening and covering these positions means we are not settling for what we have. we must be serious about pushing for promotion(from a club perspective).

If we can sign a RB and CF, and pin down Greenwood (as the rumours suggest we're already attempting to do), January should be a good window. I'd rather have the likes of McGree and Forss back in the team than go out and spend more money. We don't need CBs if Clarke is back in play, and VDB should be playing centrally rather than out at RB.

If injuries to senior players permit, I'd also be happy to send a few fringe players out on loan til the summer - loans have been the making of Coburn.

I took that to mean if there someone v good we will bring him in and send Coburn on loan but if not then we stick with Coburn and Lath. In short Coburn will continue his development regardless, either here or elsewhere if a good forward comes in

we were in for a striker still when he had signed, so I don't see it as a knock on LL. I think lath is doing fine and they are not looking at giving up on him, there's no way they bought him and did not see him as being someone who is for the next few years, they just need to work with him to get him up to speed with the league, he still got a long way to go with his development since he mostly someone who been out on loan at clubs to develop him more than being first team regular for his past owning club.

I kind of took his comments as being more that we are always looking at improving up front, but would have to be the right person if they got someone, and not just buying people to make the numbers up/for sake of it. so would have to be the right opportunity, and did think he eluded to not getting someone else's player on loan on similar level to josh to work on rather than someone elses. but think if there was someone too good to pass up on that may be a factor, of course they have to fit the financials.

Yes that was the inference I took from it. If we do sign a striker it sounds like a guy with a different profile to Josh
