Schwarzer has been pretty vocal in past saying he wasn't happy with how he was treated by the club either when he left and afterwards. that's just business tho for that one, loads of clubs stop playing players when its going to cost them more money in addons or trigger extensions, if he stayed he was getting another year and another payrise (his contract was setup to give him a payrise every season) at the time pullis was also working on our FFP position as after monk it was setup to be horrendous. there is no way we would of paid downing that additional year at around 35k a week, he will of likely got a some sort of pay off for the waiver tho. the first downing one under monk was worse, he akpom'ed him in the summer as his first action, trying to force him to get another transfer, while stewey just said no i'm cool with fighting for my place and picking up this cheque, as he was never getting that wage anywhere else
edinboro 1,319 2.1k
I wonder if Everton will think about approaching Carrick? He might get considered for that one.
LinoJo3 4,958 12.4k
If everton balls up the Dyche replacement they could easily drop imo, would be funny to see but also not good for us if we’re still here next season, specially if Utd join them 😂

Like i said in the other thread, they either stick with him all season and stay up or get rid in the summer and try to progress. Doing it now could really screw them.

Respectfully I'm not sure he's the sort of manager you should be considering if you're in a relegation scrap given his brand of football and reluctance to compromise his principles in order to be more pragmatic.
