I can't remember that guy ever getting a single transfer about us right.

He's posted some absolute *** over the years.

He's started 5 games and he's gradually gotten more injury prone this and last season. Its pretty obvious. We need a proper backup to Morris who will be available and ready to come in without breaking down again within a game or two.

Guess we are lucky none of the other players are getting injured eh? We would need to replace half the squad at that rate. Lenihane, Forrs, Smith, Mc Gree & Fry to name a few.  You have an obvious dislike for the man going back a long time. God knows you have repeated it often enough. You are entitled to your opinion of course. Agree to disagree.

Mad how easily fans would sell our best players. Latte Lath to Leeds would be a disaster.

Every player has a price. £20mill+ and it’s a great deal for us. We already have Conway who is 4 years younger and who imo will get just as many goals as LL.

Conway has a better goals per minute ratio than LL this season.

I think as well despite loving lath if you get 20+ it means we can sort out a lot of other positions ie full backs, rw and midfield

That's the point. There's says of getting deals done for players that might not be affordable.

well we have shown we are open to getting over powered players (for the EFL) in on loan, with no scope of signing them if the package and player is right to make an exception

Ask Messi.

don't think he puts his boots on for just 40k a week lol

Will there though ?

We have Morris and Howson coming back from injury...

he would be before howson surely, and would get games based on the player who is out, I'd imagine if morris is out then he would get the games. Injuries and suspensions always come up there in and in defence, so there will be some chances. less than at other teams tho

not sure on the process, but would Liverpool have to recall him from the loan before he could sign for another club. Thinking like Azaz was recalled by Villa before we bought him.

So if we got to deadline day and he's still here that would that make it more difficult for another club to come in and buy him?

all depends on the terms we signed with them, sometimes you can get the recall terms to be time limited in the window, but given he is way too good for our team I would imagine we took all liverpools terms to make it happen

depends what we got for him, if its more than the premier league, or same and we got a decent striker from them then it would work for me, bit how I would prefer him go leciester and we get cannon as part of the deal. we sold them bamford so doubt we are as protective as fans think (if the money and deal is right), but is to direct competition, but think they need a meltdown for us to catch them, so not as much a help to them at our cost as I would imagine it would be before the season started.

Leeds would have to pay a bigger premium being a rival in the league

if the premier league teams are bidding they would need to at least match them, give him a premier league wage in the EFL (which would likely get a payrise on top of that with promotion too) the lads shown his cards that he wants to join the premier league, all I could see him going for to leeds for is potential of premier league and potential to get more money from a promotion, its a bit of a gamble, can only see him pushing for that if the club loved the offer and the premier league just wasn't competing for his services as much as the media is making out they are.

If Leeds pay a fair fee, then I’m not bothered. Imo I think Leeds are destined for top 2 this year so I don’t even see them as our rivals. If anything he can go there and help them take points off teams chasing for top 6.

Appreciate I'm probably in the minority here but I just wouldn't sell to Leeds out of spite.

I don't think fans would particularly sell him, its more if the situation comes where we are forced to sell him due to him wanting out and the offers were really nice, the nicer offers soften the blow or at least help you understand why he is sold

Nobody in this thread wants to sell him, we’re discussing prices for him which is what fans do.

it could well be our club or the agent leaking leeds to tell the premier league clubs to sort it out and show leverage they can't low ball who ever leaked it. every leak before completion normally has a motive

it's creating a narrative that leeds would need to over pay to get him, that means either us or his agent is saying or using their interest to say - hey don't be stingy with this wage (and/or transfer fee) your going to offer premier league clubs if you want him, as they is more money in our league

out of all the 3 links its the one that makes the least sense is leeds, they are probs the red herring here under the transfer leak rule of 3

ipswitch makes the most sense given they have already confirmed they officially bid, west ham is probs where the player wants to go most
