£20m + Lewis O'Brien.

Don't think we sell Hackney in January though, probably in the summer if we don't go up.

Would have to be a daft offer in Jan. Don't think club has any interest in selling anyway but got to think similar for summer too. Don't think its worth taking much less than 30m for him

when the time comes if he wants to leave what we will get will boil down more to what is being offered, i could see half of that being more realistic unfortunately, just depend how big he gets when the time comes and what league we are in

I know it's Teamtalk but it's Pete O'Rourke and he's usually quite good with us.  Haven't we been linked with Brandon Vazquez before?  I recognise the name from somewhere.

"Exclusive: Middlesbrough plotting to sign US international Vazquez but face stiff competition from Euro clubs

Middlesbrough are plotting a January move for FC Cincinnati and USA international Brandon Vazquez, TEAMtalk understands.

Boro boss Michael Carrick has made a new striker one of his top priorities in the January transfer window and Vazquez figures highly on his wanted list."

I know it’s only youtube but he has some really good attributes. Height, good movement, bit of pace. Decent link up. And knows how to finish. Gives me David Nugent vibes.

4 in 8 appearance for national team and as article states he has had two prolific domestic seasons where has hit 18 and 16 respectively. Definitely seems worth a risk if price is right.

Maybe part-ex Hoppe?

The precedent has been set with Scott from Bristol.

I'd argue Hackney has more to his game and has been doing good stuff for the u21's which will no doubt raise value again. Plus I'd argue we are in a stronger financial position than Bristol were given the last two summers we've sold for large fees. I'd be holding out for 25m+, prem clubs spend that on bench players...

Hackney's going nowhere in January but we may struggle to hold onto him in the summer if we're not promoted.

He's a later developer than Scott. Scott's a year younger and has played twice as many minutes in the Championship than Hackney. Hackney has, arguably, overtaken him but Scott seems to have been almost permanently injured. Looks like he may become a first choice Bournemouth player if he can stay fit.

If we don't get promoted then Scott is the benchmark; it will just come down to whether any club wants to pay £25m for Hackney. Even for a Premier league club that's not nothing. I do suspect that the likes of Forest, Wolves, West Ham and so on will look at him as a potential first team player with plenty of room to gain in value.
