Kieron scott is extending his contract with us. Which puts Carrick under pressure with Edward’s and Alex Neil in consideration

Great of us to keep Scott considering he was linked with palace and we are making great amounts of money, Edwards or Alex Neil is interesting, I think Edwards suits the current squad way more

I apologise for my recent lack of contributions and enthusiasm of late but I was somewhat under a cloud of uncertainty.

At my age the NHS invites you to do all sorts of things and one was to take part in lung cancer prevention.

During a scan nodules were found on my lungs two so small they posed no concern but a third required me to have a full PET scan at MK Hospital. I also went through a lung capacity test whilst the results were completed and sent to my local hospital being Stoke Mandeville.

With a huge sigh of relief I was given the all clear and my LC showed I had good strength and that my BP was good.

They will check again in 3 months to see if there are any changes size wise with the nodules and if all good another 9 months after that.

You kid yourself that all will be well and nothing to worry about but yes I was very anxious up and until the results.

The importance of family and friends support can not be exaggerated and i am grateful to all of them.

I know this is not Boro related but there is nowhere else I can put this.

So there you are I ran away from the forum for a bit but glad to say I am back🙂

Never be afraid to speak. There are more people about who have walked in your shoes than you think. The first step is to look forward. Look after yourself and remember. ....  this time next year ...

Good to hear all's well @Downsouth.  Perfectly understandable that you've had other priorities!

Horrible feeling having to wait for news like that and I know it takes a toll, I hope you and your family have brighter days ahead!

Been there done that and it is a very dark and scary place isn’t it. So glad you jumped the hurdle and I don’t know about you but it clarified very quickly what is really important and what is just background noise

Glad to hear you got the all clear Alan! I had to get a mole removed and biopsied last year because they were worried about the big C, I can appreciate how awful the worry is before you get your results.
