We’re just a prison sentence that players like him must serve to get to do what they want to in their careers

Can like them but can’t love them

He wouldn’t be here if Carrick wasn’t our manager at the time

Makes me question whether players with multiple suitors will choose us if Edwards is manager

Better chance with Cooper

Very typically Dutch. He's ambitious and our best chance to keep him is to match that ambition for as long as we can but also we've shown with Rogers and ELL that we won't stand in their way and that will help because he'll know he can wait.

Still if he gets offered £60k a week from a top tier club and the chance to play regularly we're not going to be able persuade him to stay. That's the price we pay for failure.

If Rav wants a Premier League move, he'll need to stay fit and string some good performances together. Not sure he'll be turning anyone's head based on the last two seasons here as a part time player in an abysmal defence.

He will mate all the clubs will know he’s very good

Quality on the ball and most importantly he’s highly mobile for a CB, once he gets going he’s rapid

Prem scouts were probably salivating

Get him sold.

He looked miserable all season and he was *** for most of it.

Probably going to go on to be a great player, but I don't think he's offering us anything special right now and I'd sooner have somebody who doesn't think we're beneath them.

Does he really need to say Middlesbrough is not the most?

Could have got his point across without saying stuff like that.

Middlesbrough is an absolute hole in fairness, i don’t think there’s anything wrong in what he’s saying.

It’s only acceptable for those of us from Middlesbrough to call it that

It is, but when you play for Middlesbrough, it's probably best not to slate the area where most of your supporters are from.

He doesn't like the place or the food. I'm not sure then other than getting game time he does like. No mention of anything positive at all. He might be deliberately burning bridges to get us to nudge towards selling him.

Funny he's mentioning the food considering he's grown up in a country that arguably have the worst kitchen in europe. I don't think I've been to country with worse or more boring food than Holland and Belgium. It's downright horrific.

Without saying what? The truth?

And in response to others, 'slating' is a very strong word. He's absolutely not 'slating' the club, or the area.

He turned down massive clubs to come to Boro, and he stands by that decision being the right one for his development. Middlesbrough isn't great to look at, and he doesn't like a parmo, but he's glad he chose hear.

Some of you just read everything with inherent negativity and emotionality.

Same could be said about every single one of our players to be honest
