Or it's just that he's going nowhere which is probably the most likely considering the situation.

Maybe but the point was in reference to the poster who said he may be leaving. I would keep him here and potentially sign him permanently depending on what league we are in

Remember the meltdown on this forum just 4 weeks ago about lack of transfer and ambition of our club. Just to summarise some of the utter shi*e spoken less than a month ago: 1. Our club has

The comments regarding Edmunson seem bizarre. Why would we play him in a cup game, cup-tie him, and then send him back?

I wonde if Edmondson could go to the States. Their season is on a different calendar so different rules I think.

Lot of bed wetting today, start that game today with Fry, VDB, Borges, Morris, Hackney, Doak, Azaz and LL I think we win it. I don’t like to loose but leading up to the game I was thinking I’d rather go out and put all our attention into league games only. Helps with fitness too.

I’m unsure on the rules etc but that could be a good shout. I would just keep him though. I’d look to sell Matt Clarke if we are looking to rid ourselves of a CB.

I’m sure someone mentioned that we were going to sign him on a permanent contract only last week.

Also wouldn't be bothered about edmundson going, Clarke either to be honest. Both good defenders when backs are against the wall and they are only focusing on defending.

But when you want to play attacking football and try to open teams up then you need defenders with proper athleticism and the ability to get back in shape very quickly. Neither do and it's why there are always holes there and we are countered easily. Fry is a bit better and vdb is the best of our defenders at it but I still wouldn't be surprised if we're in the market for another cb in that mould to replace them.

Should have got cresswell before he went to Toulouse.

I think Clarke was heavily overrated. He’s okay but he’s currently 5th choice and will go further down the pecking order when Lenihan returns.

started the season really well i thought then he suddenly fell off and looks SLOW

I think it's safe to say that the club need to bring some fresh blood in this week. Otherwise I think the mood going into Pompey will be really low. Things need freshening up. Over to Scott to get some deals over the line.

along with Edmundson, McGree, Jones, Hackney falling off......

Too lazy to do the research but wonder how many games this season we have had a settled back 4 or how many different back 4’s we have played
