I apologise for my recent lack of contributions and enthusiasm of late but I was somewhat under a cloud of uncertainty. At my age the NHS invites you to do all sorts of things and one was to take

Remember the meltdown on this forum just 4 weeks ago about lack of transfer and ambition of our club. Just to summarise some of the utter shi*e spoken less than a month ago: 1. Our club has

I've not questioned them offering more money than he's on here.

I've said I don't think he'll want to go to the MLS when there's interest from the Premier League, where the money will be even better.

It still requires that a PL club actually bids for him and we accept it. I can still see him going to the MLS instead of a team like Ipswich. He’ll likely be back in the championship on a reduced contract. I agree that he will likely choose West Ham if it’s an option.

Would Ipswich pay 60/70k a week then?  That’s the only prem team to actually bid

I expect West Ham will bid soon.

They have one fit striker and it's Danny Ings who they were already trying to move on.

Fullkrug will be out for a month, Antonio might never play again.

Summerville has a hamstring issue and Bowen's fractured his foot, neither of them are actual strikers to begin with.

At the rumoured fee you’d expect more clubs to come in for him hopefully pushing the price up a bit. Be happy with 20 million £ if we can get it sorted in the next few days and have time to get a replacement in + strengthen other parts of the team

Also, seems that the designated players at Atlanta only earn around 45k USD per week, so about 37 grand, is it that much more that he'd leave for the US instead of staying in Europe?

Their top earn is on 57k a week in £. The league record fee offered so guessing he’d top that salary

It would hurt less for me to see him go to the MLS even if it is a bit lower fee then to see him go to the Premier League and start banging them in for another club while we still struggling to go up

Where are you getting that from?

The MLS publish the top 25 salaries and there's not an Atlanta player in that, and the 25th highest earner in the league is on £41,000 a week.

Unless they signed him in the summer, that is, that publication is from May.

Ah, didn't see the guaranteed compensation part.

Have a look at the guaranteed part it’s different 👍

The amount of articles the EG has written with Travers on it tells me there is too much smoke (especially when they are quick to shut things down these days like Jade Jones)
