People do have a point tbh, he’s 26 and probably almost guaranteed to be gone in the summer. Is his value likely to increase between now and then? No you could say it would probably go down a bit if he has longer to push for a move and teams have longer to leave bids on the table, our bargaining position will be weaker. Maybe it’s just best to accept that kind of offer while it’s there as he’s probably at his peak value for us and it’s looking more and more likely we will be playing at this level again next season.
