I think selling him and not signing an adequate replacement will end our season tbh.

Our home form is bad enough as it is without selling our top scorer and only fit striker.

It'll be a big gamble by the club.

IT's not just his goals for me its his energy and defending from the front. if you watch him live, he regularly stops counter attacks

Sounds like the club are willing to sell then if they're having discussions with Atlanta.

Feels like the club have leaked that to Craig, to try and get others interested He's 100% leaving this month

Interested that it’s the same amount Ipswich had offered in the summer and it was mainly down to how late in the window it was rather than the fee.

Sounds like £20m is what we are after but maybe we want to negotiate more upfront etc.

I think it’ll be £16-17m upfront with £5m add ons plus a % on fee. Brilliant business considering he cost us about £4m 18 months ago.

I think we know we're willing to sell and it looks like our bottom line is £20m.

Still, I'm old enough to remember this time last year when the consensus was that Latte Lath was never going to be clinical enough to make it even if he got over his injuries. By this time last year he had scored 5 goals and was out injured. Wouldn't start another game until March. Pretty impressive that 12 months later we're looking for £20m for him.

If get his sale and the rest of the window right we *can* make the team as a whole stronger.

I think us not rejecting the offer straight away probably shows either we want to accept and waiting for a replacement or it’s very close to our valuation and we want a little more

The very best of luck to the lad, his attitude has been first class since the initial bid from Ipswich last summer, great pro who I hope goes on to have a great career

Definitely can, but it's going to be the biggest test of Scott's ability yet.

Assuming we do sign Travers after tomorrow night's match, we'd still need a midfielder and at least 1 striker at a minimum.

I personally see some positives in selling ELL (not that I want to lose him).

I trust our recruitment team to find our next ELL and the money, plus selling Jones, should allow us to improve other areas in the squad. I also think when Conway returns he has the potential to be just as good as ELL.

The risk of course is that whoever we sign don't live up to expectations or they don't hit the ground running and the season just fizzles out on a whimper. But they could also turn out to be even better assets.

I saw a comment earlier where someone had suggested players will view us as a stepping stone. I think this is exactly what we want to be, it allows us to attract players with a higher ceiling, hopefully helping us to get out of this division, failing that, turning a healthy profit when they move on and we bring in the next batch, hopefully further improving the squad over time.

We can. Will we though?

This. Our current pairing in central midfield are absolutely hopeless at tracking or halting runners. Lath's busyness and capacity to pinch the ball back has screened that frailty to a point.

I don't want to be negative, but if Lath going, overlaps with Morris' absence, things could get a bit fraught.
