How isn't there better options on the list. I really don't think there is anything in it.

I think he’s a great third option especially at linking play more which I think Conway struggles with a bit but still shouldn’t be anymore than third choice

KS only found out about the approach last Thursday, and caught up with the agent yesterday. Obviously these terms - no fee, pay as you play / cash for goals was not what was expected.

If it’s the case that is a third choice to me, means we can bring him on when needed but no pressure to play him on big money

It absolutely is Bamford. He’s offered to come on a purely performance based contract and his agent was speaking with Scott yesterday. I don’t know whether it will lead to anything, and the process of reaching a pay-off with Leeds is still ongoing, but it’s 100%  him.

If that’s right then I’m not mad at it. Wouldn’t be a bad option on those terms.
Would still like to see us sign another striker because I can’t see him staying fit.

I’d be happy with Bamford as 3rd choice striker, makes sense to put him on a performance based contract, he still looked good last season when he came of the bench. On another note, Forss looked totally disinterested when he came on last week, looked liked he’d just ran a marathon, no closing down or any intensity, I liked him a lot but probably time for him to move on

I believe if it happens it will be along with another striker. It’s an opportunistic signing if it happens - surely better PB on money for goals deal than Ings on £20K / week regardless?

Is it not weird for an agent to risk getting their client way less money

Do you think it definitely happens or just it’s just an idea at the moment

No. I think it’s a possibility. It’s being knocked around but far from done.
