Except that I can't recall many people talking about us being a middling Championship side recently?  And no bugger would be happy with that either.

I do think it's worthwhile to hear from the man himself how he sees this football club.  I know how I see it.  You know how you see it.  Most of us have a sense of how people around us see it or people on here.  None of that matters because none of us are in a position to do anything about it.  He is, so hearing from his own mouth about how he sees the future of this club seems fair enough to me.  He was happy enough to talk in the past about this kinda stuff - sporting glory and all of that.  Now that things aren't looking as rosy he shouldn't be hiding away.

Echo did say we had a forward lined up with Hackney off, Scott went on twitter and said it was a striker, my guess is that once Rav is sold we will move with him

Yeah, Diakite looks ideal tbh. Not perfect technically but don't really think you have to be to play the role he would be in this team aslong as he chips away with goals himself and creates space for others around him such as Azaz and Whittaker

I think that if Conway starts 40 games or more this season as a lone striker then we will end up on about 5 points either side of 60.

He won’t though, it will be like him and lath both get rotated for fitness reasons with whoever comes in

Disagree. One of the better goal scorers in the league and I think he guarantees us 15+ if he stays fit. He’s easily a top 6 striker.

Only thing I didn’t like about Diakite was his goal scoring and finishing isn’t that great, doesn’t really have stats that suggest he’s that great in the air either

They weren't getting rotated for fitness reasons.  They got rotated for form.  If you have a good first choice striker then you don't rotate them unless you absolutely have to.

He was the top scorer of any new signing last season, a specific stat but he did well considering he had an injury and Lath was first choice
