Bristol City vs Boro 3-2 (Viner (og) Crooks)

So happy that "normal" football is back again .. The International games don't get me going like they used to ... Denmark won their group, but oh my they haven't played well in many games .. At least they gave some confidence to McNair last time out ..

And ... We seem to build momentum up to international breaks, but we suck when we return to league games .. Bristol is a bogey team for us, so I reckon we might squeeze in a draw at best .. But I would like to be proven wrong ofc.

I think Ipswich will start to lose more and more points, so a purple patch for us, would make anything possible .. One can dream

Annoying result today but wild how negative and woe is me the attitude is on here. If you look at how we went about our summer business, i think it's obvious that we are building a team to challenge o

  • Feel a bit sorry for Lath, don't feel we played to his strengths today. The lad's not got much of a chance winning lofted balls forwards and holding it up and I didn't see us trying to play it in behi

We do have some recurring themes such as a very poor first half which could be mitigated for if it wasn't for the fact it costs us repeatedly and only Wednesday have a worst record. Our inability to d

After the last international break we came back and won two games on the bounce saturday/tuesday. Hope we can repeat that.

Could you send the link over for us to view? thanks in anticipation.

Hard game to call for me seen more losses at AG than wins and I believe I was standing next to @Uwe where we saw a Boro win.

Lovely ground very spacious and a good pitch just takes a really long ime o get out of Bristol after the game.

Will take a draw at this time but seeing as how BC's injury list is as long a ours then I do predict a winner!

UTB

It’s a shame as I bought tickets to this one but now have to work. So my boy is taking his girlfriend now. Hopefully we can convert her to a Boro fan 🤙

1. Reading,  listening to music and a trip to the pub see why

2. You have to keep the same back four, I think.

3. Unchanged,  its difficult  to see why we change the team after last game.

4. 1 all, Crooks.

5. Football wise, got to be Archie (he signed from Bristol Rovers - I know he's not really from there). Musically, probably The Brilliant Corners.

Questions:
1. How did you cope without club football during the international break?

Cricket, F1 and Witcher III: The Wild Hunt.

2. Now that Lenihan is out for the season, what should be our starting back 4 going forward?

See answer to Question 3.

3. Starting 11?

4. Score prediction and goalscorers?

This has 1-1 written all over it. Reckon it'll be up to Samwise Gamwood to grab a point for us again after we go behind. Either a screamer of a freekick, or bundled in from a few yards, following a goalmouth scramble.

5. Favourite thing to come from Bristol?

The Bristol Blenheim medium bomber.

I didn't check, it just feels like a lot of the time we lose momentum after the IB .. Hope we can follow up the results from last time returning

Mine was the Beaufighter tremendous and often forgotten plane

Tough game away at Brizzle. But I can see us getting a least a point. It's nice to be back to the nitty gritty anyway.

Hopefully it's a bit warmer down there than the North East. It's around 0degC all day here.

1. How did you cope without club football during the international break?

I coped well, thanks for asking

2. Now that Lenihan is out for the season, what should be our starting back 4 going forward?

Probably VDB, Fry, Mcnair, Engel. Although I wouldn't mind seeing dyk in the rb spot.

3. Starting 11?

same as the Leicester game.

4. Score prediction and goalscorers?

2-2. Engel and Jones to score

5. Favourite thing to come from Bristol?

I guess if I have to pick something original, the Bristol pound. A local currency meant to encourage people to spend money in local businesses.

Zip chance of watching this in any bar in any town sadly

No worries. We're out from Canada and I was trying to get her to go to the game but just wasn't enough time.

On the train down now first time been to Bristol looking forward to it. We making a weekend of it staying over night.

I'm fully expecting us to be unchanged from last game

Feel like we never do well in this fixture

Be interesting to see our team, gutting that McGree and Forss still out
