It is funny how we were complaining about injuries under Wilder and wondering what was going  and then giving praise to the medical staff and coaching under Carrick because of just how few injuries we were getting in comparison.

I think this season has shown just how much of it has been down to luck, or lack of it, I've never known so many injuries to key players.

i still blame wilder for the injuries this season, f him

It is always sad when you can see a good player coming to the end of his time, the legs and energy just go out of them and sadly this now applies to Jonny Howson. He is offering little in our midfield and his inability to get back in time to cover our defence is causing all sorts of problems, he really should now be replaced. Having said that Carrick doesn’t seem to think so and I expect him to keep his place and be first choice for at least the next five seasons

Preston Fan here and I hate to say that I can't see us getting anything out of tonight but I'll live in hope.

We'll be knackered after playing half our match against Cardiff on Saturday with 10 men meaning Brady's missing through suspension (not that I rate him) and we were already thin on the ground. We do have players coming back after injury soon and we might get some positive news on that front tonight.

Mate we're going to struggle getting 11 fit players onto the pitch

Well if it is VDB missing alongside Engel then many peoples first choice full backs of Dijksteel and Bangura will start. The former really needs to take his chance.

Hope Greenwood is fit as he will be ineligible for Leeds on weekend so hopefully can put in a match winning performance.

if Howson is out then Barlaser would step in.

Hopefully starting 11 is still strong and there enough on bench in likes of Rogers, Silveria and Lath if we need it. We can also call on Clarke if we (hopefully) leading and need to see game out. I imagine academy lads will be Bilongo, Hannah and one other.

I wonder if we could just tell the authorities that we don't have enough fit players to fulfil the fixture? I mean, what's the worst that could happen?

i've still got a fax machine in the office if anyone needs to borrow it
