Well, I did enjoy it, as it happens. I can see why others may not, though. Powerful floral taste, just as well I like palma violets.

And not many can admit to that. I always recall when the sweet selections were shown round and offered the only remaining sweets not taken were Parma Violets!

Anyway game day and my birthday let's hope it is a treat but not the Parma Violet kind😉

A tricky game, but so was Leicester, so who knows what could happen if we show up. I'll go for a 2-2 draw and an exciting game.

Similar to the last game i imagine. Maybe coburn up top - it seems like a Coburn type game.

Probably Dieng, or Hackers if I can count a re-signing?

 

3. Brian Clough or Don Revie?

Cloughy. He wasn't the best manager in the business, but he was in the top one.

It's not supposed to taste like Parma Violets!

BrewDog actually did a Parma Violet NEIPA (discontinued now.) It actually did taste of Parma Violets and was.....not good.

And I like Parma Violets!

Little snippet in the paper this morning Daniel Fark's teams he has managed against Boro have not lost or had a goal scored against them over a period of 6 games, five wins and one draw.

That needs changing

Didn't a Sunderland-affiliated stats page run a comparison of centre backs a couple of weeks ago and find out that, as well as Lenihan, Fry was one of the 8 best CBs in the whole league? There's a chance you have blinkers on here a bit.

Been to Elland road many times, not once seen us win

First time I went 76/77 Alf Wood put us 1-0 up when scoring at our end, think that was his 1st Boro goal, Ldeds won 2-1 with Gordom McQueen scoring two late, late goals, sure Platty saved a penalty too. I was there when in the final minute & Gary Parkinsobs back pass to Kevin Poole & as Pooley went down on his kness collect the ball it hit a bobble & went over his shoulder, we lost 2-1. Getting thumped 5-0 the game after the Orient FAC defeat & a good few others

By a country mile Dieng, hes been superb & TBH we could struggle to keep hold of him, VDB will become the biggest though for me

maybe he is when hes having a good game. but that is getting rarer all the time.

That needs changing 

5 consecutive 1-0 losses and a 0-0 during his time at Norwich. Fortunes have changed for us against them since, 3 wins on the spin.
