I think the reaction against Carrick here is embarrassing tbh.  There's only two players with championship experience on the bench and one is coulson who is nowhere near championship standard and

Some pre match questions:

Would you put Izzy and big Anf' straight back in?

Well we definitely need more threat going forward. Trouble with Jonesy (as with several of our players) is that he reminds me of that nursery rhyme about the little girl with the little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. i.e. when he's good, he's very very good, but when he's bad he's a liability.

Still, if he's fit I'd play him and hope he has one of his good days. Dijk is the third part of the Crooks-Jones-Dijksteel axis that has worked so well in the past, so I'd be tempted to play him as well. Okay, he's a bit doubtful defensively, but then so is the rest of our back line...so who cares?

What other changes would you like to see?

Dear Santa Smogzilla Claus, for Christmas I'd like:

- our forwards to remember how to bring team mates into play

- learn how to stay onside

- remember how to get shots on target

- our defenders to NOT leave opponents unmarked to make runs into the box

At this point, with our injury list I'm not sure it matters that much who plays. I'm starting to point the finger at the manager and coaches and their continuing inability to improve the squad as a whole. Seriously - why even bother employing coaches if they don't make our players better in some way? Not expecting miracles, but some visible evidence during matches of better technical skills, awareness, decision making and co-ordinated play would be nice.

How many points do you see us picking up between now and New Years Day?

Hull (H) - 3

Swansea (A) - 0

West Brom (H) - 1

Rotherham (A) - 3

Huddersfield (A) - 3

TOTAL - 10

We have a good home record against Hull and have 7 wins in our last 10 against them.

Awful record away at Swansea so don't see us getting anything there.

Mixed results against WBA and they're going strong at the moment, so we'll do well to get a draw.

Should...SHOULD...be an easy 3 points against the bottom team.

Would also back us to win against a struggling Huddersfield.

Another Boro Hull stat, we have only beaten Hull 3 times on the bounce once in our history, which was back in 1976 when our third win was a 2-0 home win in the Anglo Scottish Cup, take that away & domestic games 2 is our record, we've recorded two wins on the bounce, lets make history tonight with 3 domestic wins over Hull City

How’ve you made an article from last year look as ancient as the rest 😅

This fixture last year is one of my favourites. If I remember Hull were decent but then in the 2nd half we just turned it on in our ruthless clinical fashion and were 3-1 up within 10 minutes. Was also Chubas record when he scored, some goal as well.

Remember this game is on tonight AR though with your streaming I guess it could be tomorrow 😉

Looking forward to welcoming the Hull fans and their 'sexy accents' to the Riverside...

Got to get a result tonight. 3 losses on the trot wouldn't be great. Fortunately I think we will. 3-0 Boro

Would you put Izzy and big Anf' straight back in?

i would indeed. We missed Iz last game. Greenwood wasn't as effective at getting in behind and running Defenders ragged. I would start Dijk to allowed VDB to play CB with Fry.

What other changes would you like to see?

Not many. Would have Coburn if fully fit, but doesn't sound like he is.

It's not a bad little run actually. No teams that look like a certain no pointer.

Hull Win

Swansea Win

West Brom Lose

Rotherham Win

Huddersfield Win

Coventry Win

I struggle to see less than 13-15 points and a semi final to 👢

He must have been paid to say that, I don't believe he genuinely thinks that.

Very few strong accents from the north are sexy, at least in my opinion.
