Hello and welcome to a hastily put out and half-arsed matchday thread, I make no apologies for the amount of gifs used.

A trip to Wales tomorrow after a disappointing performance on Wednesday night saw Boro drop into midtable mediocrity after what had been a decent run of form. Of course, injuries are playing a major part of the reason for our downturn but when those players are back we'll....what do you mean nobody is likely to back from injury for this one? Oh well, looks like we're going into this game with the same XI that lost to Hull.

Swansea of course can jump above us with a win tomorrow, and they're at home so that's probably the likeliest result.

Nah, prefer it to Newport but not as good as Cardiff for a night out, besides all those 20 MPH speed limits means I'd have to stay even longer in the Principality.

I actually reckon we'll win this. I don't think we've played that bad recently, not great, but certainly not as bad as the start of the season given the injuries, suspensions etc.

The recent form of three losses looks worse than it is. We really should have beaten Hull. Leeds are a very good side, and Ipswich are the best side ever by this point in a Championship season.

I do expect results to follow now the fixtures ease up a bit and players start returning to the squad.

Well we won our last away game at Swanage...I mean Swansea. But that was back when we could call on the services of Akpom, Archer, Ramsey and Giles. Historically our form at their place is wretched. Last 10 games read W2 D2 L6.

I afraid it will be a defeat. Swansea will have done their homework and know that we cannot keep a clean sheet. Once they score game over.

Yeah we've been beaten by three very decent sides. Hull weren't great against us but they're 7th for a reason and we really should have beaten them if we took our chances. Leeds, who knows what might have happened if not for going to 10 men, I certainly don't think they were head and shoulders above us. Ipswich we were crap and they managed the game brilliantly. At least one of the latter two will be promoted, if not both. 

The fact we were pretty competitive in most of our defeats recently despite the long list of injuries is a positive. Desperately need to start getting some back though because the championship is all about momentum, negative momentum included. Very hard to get out of a rut.

And yet we beat 3 of the top 6 out of the 5 games we've played against them... amazing that if its so easy to beat us, they must have terrible managers

So maybe not so difficult to beat us  tbf

Hopefully we can get a proper defensive coach,Stop conceding stupid goals,stop ridiculous passing out from the back & we might have some chance  of making the play offs. I have only seen highlights through beer goggles in Porto Del Carmen but nothing seems to have changed since i was frozen in Cork 2 weeks ago😬

We had 12 games between 16th September and 25th November where we were only beaten once. Most of our defeats came at the start of the season and we've only started losing on a regular basis again with 10 or 11 first teamers out injured and in an exceptionally difficult run of fixtures. I'd say we're not overly easy to beat with all things even.
