I'll be surprised to get anything out of this game. We're down to our bare bones and according to Carrick haven't really had any full training sessions.

The bookies won't be surprised. They've got us as favourites, only slightly, but still.

With all our injuries and Dieng, Silvera and McGree gone missing the fixture congestion coming up fast in January including the games against Villa and the two versus Chelsea we could enter February absolutely, battered, bruised, shellshocked and psychologically scarred.

Need reinforcements and/or injuries clearing up asap. Hope is the young lads can step up and prove their worth by grabbing the opportunity.

We don't do draws. I think we will just try to attack our way to a win. My best guess at the starters is

Glover

Dijksteel Fry Rav Engel

    Howson Barlaser

Silvera. Greenwood Bangura

            Kavanagh

Jones

McCabe

Clarke

Nkrumah

Coulson

Cartwright

Gilbert

McGree

Hackney

With the state of things atm I'd take that lineup!

Struggling to have too much optimism today, but hopefully that just makes any points gained feel sweeter!

Questions:

Predicted lineup & score-line?

Wrong Calum Kavanagh, but obviously our U-21s aren't in their player database...

Historically, Boro have a good home record against the Boilermen...I mean the Albion. Last couple of decades its been a lot closer though. Coupled with the teams' relative form this season, West Brom have a good chance of being Christmas party poopers. Really any result is equally likely. We haven't had many draws so far this season so I reckon we're due another one:

Middlesbrough 2 - 2 WBA

Overall:       W42  D24  L36

Home:         W29  D13  L9

Last 10 (H):  W4   D3    L3

Very mixed results over our last 10 home games against the Baggies, going back to April 2003. Only just edging the wins category. Boro scored 14 goals in those fixtures, while conceding 12. Best home victory being a 4-0 thumping in 2005. Worst defeat being a 0-5 thrashing in 2009.

What does Michael Carrick want off Santa Gibson for Christmas?

This...probably (but a 2023 version obviously)...

Have you ever eaten a faggot?

Twice.

First time was when I was given some of Mr. Brains' finest for dinner. Bit of an acquired taste but not that bad.

Second time was during a drunken bender in Amsterdam's red light district... 🙃😳😬

(Also bit of an acquired taste...also I may have made this bit up)
