Unsure whether this is good news or not, but the Echo says their first choice keeper is out with concussion and second choice went off injured on Boxing Day. What could go wrong ?

We have to get shots on target to score, so the instruction to Silvera & Greenwood, when in a good position, pass to a Boro player 🤔👍

I suspect that it is psychology, if they were trying to pass the ball,  one touch, in a particular direction they would do it nearly every time. Stick a goal between them and ‘the person and they are passing to’ and we have no idea where it will end up and neither do they. It comes back to practice and coaching , in my simplistic view

We have lost 11 games so far. Quite a few of them against lower placed sides. If we fail to take good chances like at Rotherham it will be defeat number 12. Virtually every time a Boro player is given a gold plated chance they lack the composure and technique to put it away.Don't they practice shooting in training?

I have it on good authority that they do practice shooting in training.  #ITK

I know Rotherham was a real freak result (which I'm still annoyed by, even though I thought we played well in the main)

And I always try to be positive on this board...

...but I have a sinking feeling about today - I think we really need a break, to get all players back, and reset again - difficult with key players having a month off, but I'm encouraged by the likes of Dijksteel getting better with each game, Bangura looking good, and Clark coming back again. Would love a few loaners in January.

Because of the sinking feeling, i'm going for a 1-1 today. Not what we need (or them), but I think that's where it'll end up.

I hope we win though. It's a game we SHOULD be winning tbh

QUESTIONS FOR THE AUDIENCE TO CONSIDER:

How many will we win by?

Um...negative 2 goals?

Who will finish our top scorer this season?

ELL probably, by the odd goal, with Rogers, McGree & Jones just behind.

How will we finish 2024?

Hungover? Losing the last match in December? Chasing Michael Carrick down Rockliffe Court with pitchforks and torches?

Are New Years Resolutions a waste of time and what do you hope to regretfully fail to achieve next year?

Yes and coming up with resolutions to not achieve.

I see Huddersfield have drawn more games than anything else this season. Feel this will be another one. Either Boro will take the lead and concede a soft equaliser, or they will score first and Boro even things up late on, for a share of the spoils.
