Huddersfield v BORO 1-2 (Coburn, Howson)

If you watch Engel next game he starts for 89 minutes out the 90 it's a first time pass back to the left centre back or keeper

Think Bangura gave their winger no chance and looked the most dangerous going forward with his pace and directness honestly

There's no way that front 4 can start again vs Cov though

Defo, he was the type of signing we missed in the summer, high potential but already proven in the league. If we’d have got him instead of greenwood and silvera we’d have been laughing. Him and Mcgree in the same team would do some damage definately.

Maybe.  If you're playing him on the left then you're not playing McGree unless you're playing McGree as your 10?  Thomas is a bit like Giles in that it's the volume of crosses that he puts in rather than him being a great crosser of a ball.  Today he put in 26 crosses!  We put in 8 I think.  During the season so far he has more accurate crosses than anyone in the Championship but he also has more inaccurate ones.  He puts more crosses in per game than anyone else does.  He has one less assist than Crooks this season however.

Definitely. He’s just a cut above anyone else in attack. Just looks so comfortable with the ball. Hope he still plays vs Coventry and flies out after that match.

Boro management should be pulling out all stops to convince the Aussie manager he's better off playing the next match before leaving, and in fairness to Graham Arnold he has tried to accommodate Club managers as much as he could in the past.

How the *** are we 9th and only 2pts off 6th. This league is crazy

It's 'cause most this league is just as inconsistent as we are. The biggest challenge we have to tackle is being a good enough side to win the play-offs. Getting into them will be hard because there's only really 2 spots up for grabs with a hell of a lot of teams capable of making 5th or 6th. But you could be the best of the rest and get done in the semis with the quality on offer, in my opinion.

People talking about poor performance, papering over the cracks etc etc need a reality check. We have just gone away from home and recorded a win despite the fact that half of our usual starting 11 are missing.

The likes of Dieng, Smith, Lenihan, Hackney, Crooks, McGree and LL would have started tonight. That is 7 out the current 11. Coburn and McGree are clearly not ready to start matches yet.

Based on performance we deserved to win v Rotherham and a draw tonight was fair but right now its simply a case of doing the best we can with a very depleted squad.

Stop f**king moaning and expecting us to be firing on all cylinders and be grateful we are in the mix competing despite the massive injury list.

I don't think he starting that front 4 out of choice. Its necessity at the moment.

Honestly I think it might only be 6th up for grabs. But that is naive of me because we all know anything can happen in this bonkers league

All of our other attackers try to do what mcgree does, ie drift around the front line and pick up pockets of space but you can only see how not particularly good at it they are when you see mcgree come on. He's the master of finding space all over the final 3rd. Rogers is closest but think will benefit a lot from watching him do it.

A poor performance is a poor performance.

We put in a superb performance on Saturday against a much better team with the same players available.

We put in a good performance on Tuesday, despite the result.

Oh I always thought he was more right sided, it was more about his influence on the game that I was talking about. Everything went through him, he made things happen and dictated their whole game. Contrast that to some of our players where it’s easy to forget they’re on the pitch.
