New manager bounce. What planet are you on. He's won 3 in 17, so not exactly new. Blackburn were rubbish. Granted I'm a Town supporter, but still feel robbed tonight, and we have a poor team. No subs bar kids, 3rd choice keeper, Hogg a Boro lad off early as well, and a ref that was crap as they come. Denied Town a penalty, then gave you one, and if you see the replay I think you'll honestly wonder why. I watched your highlights v Rotherham and it was one way traffic in Boro's favour, so you'll know what I mean if I say the result wasn't indicative of the game tonight. It is what it is, but new manager bounce is nonsense. We've not been big fans of Moore, apart form the last two games, inc tonight. We just have crap squad, due to new owner taking over after summer transfer deadline.

Watching it back, I do think our penalty was justifiably given. However, I was embarrassed by Bangura's dive - he should be dropped from the squad for that sort of cheating.

You were by far the better side in that second half, so losing is harsh on you, just as it was for us at the weekend against Rotherham, who scored from a fluke cross but otherwise got absolutely battered without conceding.

Hope you have a decent second half of the season - I've had a soft spot for Huddersfield ever since my family nearly moved there when ah were a lad.

A win is a win for me, two scrappy teams but 3 points for us & moves us up a few places & now 3 points from 6th place Hull, as opposed to Subderland before kickoff

Great ball from Rogers & class finish from Crooks, our defending was shocking procen once again why we continue to concede silly goals

We were then out under pressure & a very good save from Glover stoped us going behind, Bangura rightly subved, he cheated too often & will now have his cards marked by refs, prefer Engel every day of the week

The winning goal from Howson was great on his part to hit the ball into the ground & go into the only area of the ball, good assist from Clarjke with the knock down header

Hapoy to take a scrappy 2-1 win

Crooks? Yer getting old mate!

It depends on his all round game though doesn’t it, is he under instructions to put so many crosses over? I guess that would probably play a part, I just want our attackers to me as dangerous as he was, tbf to Roger’s he’s done better at #10 and got a couple of assists in a few games. But we just don’t have enough going on up there.

He's tended to be close to the top of the crossing numbers in each season he's played so I assume that's just who he is.

He can play across the line. Can beat a man, can pick a pass, can shoot, can run with the ball.

Yep. Deffo not for us.

He's a canny player but where are you playing him in this team, and what is it that you think we'd get out of him?  Who is he crossing the ball to or is he just crossing for the sake of it, which was actually a lot of what he did tonight really when you look at it.  He's not a goal scorer so he's not making a difference in that sense.  Let's say we'd had him tonight and played him instead of Jones or Greenwood, what difference do you think he'd have made?

Have to say we looked terrible most of the game in my opinion and I thought the result was only ever going one way. Our goal was completely out of the blue and penalties are a lottery to say the least - nice to get the goal after missing it though. Can't believe the 2 missed open goals in the 1st half though. That performance and result somewhat makes up for Rotherham though. We are simply too inconsistent right now, though the selections being forced on us through injury don't help.

If you watch Engel next game he starts for 89 minutes out the 90 it's a first time pass back to the left centre back or keeper

Think Bangura gave their winger no chance and looked the most dangerous going forward with his pace and directness honestly

There's no way that front 4 can start again vs Cov though

Silvera is away with Australia,  so they won't.

What penalty for you? The handball? Fry is like a yard from where the ball is kicked.

I saw the replay for ours a few times and it looked pretty clear cut. Rogers got the touch on the ball and your lad left a leg in his path. Not that it matters all too much as your keeper made a terrific save from the penalty.

I don't think there was that much clear cut from either side tonight. In amongst the goals, we both had an open goal chance missed and we both weathered some of the different types of pressure our respective teams put on display. A draw might have been fair but I don't think there was a particularly unfair result either way.

It's not just Huddersfield struggling with injuries either. We've been absolutely ravaged with them recently. Really don't think that was much of an advantage for one team over the other. We both had keepers in goal who had barely played in this league before tonight and both did a good job all things considered.

If all our players were fit - How many of the starting 11 tonight would be in the team?

RVDB, Fry?, Howson, Jones  and maybe Dijk

As some posters have shown before .. We could field a very competitive 11 and now Bench, with injured players ...

Dieng, Lenihan, Smith, O'Brien, Hackney, Forss, Latte Lath, Crooks, Dijksteel?,

And we have just recently gotten Clark, McGree and Coburn back  .. And none of them should be 100 % match fit yet ..

Regarding Dieng - If he misses the African Nations Cup, but is fit before January ends that could be good for us.

With all players fit ..  What would you think our best 11 would look like?

My Choice

Dieng,
Dijk, RVDB, Lenihan, Engel,
O'Brien, Hackney,
Jones, Latte Lath, McGree,
Forss,
